Author Hugh Sykes has once again put his research skills and knowledge out there to produce this follow up book to his worldwide successful publication Advertising A to Z Featuring The Blue Willow Pattern. This book features many previously unseen examples of how the Willow pattern has been used to help advertise goods and services. Many of the pictures have been generously donated from private collections from around the world. This book is now held at the National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian.

Following the international success of his books Advertising A to Z Featuring The Blue Willow Pattern, Parts 1 & 2, author Hugh Sykes in this new book looks at how the Blue Willow Pattern has been used in some unusual ways. Traditionally the pattern is often thought as just a blue and white pattern on ceramic dinner sets. In this book though you'll see many of the different mediums on which it has been used Many of the items shown in this book are from the past, but many are also from today, thus showing that the Blue Willow Pattern is very much still part of our everyday life. The first books published by Hugh, Advertising A to Z Featuring The Blue Willow Pattern, Parts 1 & 2 have received prestige recognition and are held by the Museum of American History, Smithson Library and university libraries. Hugh is also a regular contributor of magazine articles in the USA and Australia.

After being encouraged many times to do so, author Hugh Sykes has written this book which shows how the Blue Willow Pattern has been used to advertise and promote various products and services across the world. Containing over 250 pictures showing how the pattern has been used, the book also provides historical and background information on each piece. In this book you will see that many businesses have come and gone, one thing for sure though is that the legend of the Blue Willow Pattern remains strong and will continue to be used to advertise products for many years.This book is now held at the National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian.
