This book is a detailed analysis of the names traditionally used to identify acu-points on the body. It is part dictionary, or more precisely a vocabulary of all the characters used in point names, along with their dictionary definitions and various lists to facilitate referencing them according to your situational needs or preference. A section on Extra Points is included, along with Ghost point names and a thorough investigation into the most common/frequent 36 characters that show up in point names. Throughout the text I use traditional full-form characters, but also include simplified ones. I use pinyin spelling and include tone marks.

Each description is accurate using Western anatomical terminology and is concise and logical, designed for ease of memorization. Also included are descriptions of channel pathways, both external and internal. Introductory material includes developmental history, Eastern anatomy, point categories and point names. Appendices offer useful synoptic tables with blanks to copy and practice filling in important data, as well lending themselves to coloring. Chinese characters are incorporated throughout for channel names as well as point names and point categories.
