In a wealthy suburb of Toronto lives an image-conscious Blue Jay's third baseman. On the same street of expensive estates dwells an unorthodox defenseman of the hockey Maple Leafs. On his unkempt urban plot the hockey player raises farm animals and tries to have his weedy acre re-zoned to its agricultural roots. The ball player does charity work, hires a gardener, and keeps his womanizing, drinking and gambling under wraps. The hockey wife stands between them. She needs to be pregnant with a baby girl and the ball player is the only suitable suitor. Her renegade hockey husband has provided two sons, but has stopped too many pucks and lacks the pluck to plant his seed, although he strives to maintain his much treasured masculinity. The oversized he-men live a block apart and when the unstoppable hockey force meets the immovable baseball object the result is inevitable: penalties, foul balls, fumbles and cross-checks.
Sperm donor wasn't Wilson's career choice. He preferred inventing, although his new toilet seat wasn't catching on. Lonely, homely, barren women craved his warm donations as their fertility clock neared midnight. They wanted delivery by hand or by the traditional method. They needed to know the character of the father. Wilson's single spurt of semen had initiated pregnancy in his one affair so he knew his ejaculate had potency. A childless friend requested a sperm sample and she too got a bun in her oven. His wife Virginia said charge for it. Finances overruled fidelity. She advertised and led her stud on highly profitable insemination missions. When baby bulges appeared they earned bonuses. She saw a future in franchising. She bulk-purchased Viagra. Lesbian couples chose hand extraction while homely women preferred traditional reproduction. They rejected frozen. They needed to know the author and understand the traits, personality and physical characteristics offspring would inherit. Wilson needed back-up: his insemination stick wilted from over use. Following an absurd appearance on Shark Tank, Virginia planned franchising. Knock-off competition had similar ideas. When the hot, trembling tentacles of passion wrap steaming bodies and pull them together, the results can defy logic and spark laughter..
