This guide covers via ferrata routes in the major mountain ranges of Civetta, Schiara and Pala as well as those to the west in the Brenta. A significant addition (and, as far as we are aware, not previously published in any English language guidebook) is the inclusion of routes around the northern end of Lake Garda and the Piccole Dolomites north of Vicenza. Here the mountains are generally lower and you can enjoy ferrata climbing over a much extended season, with some routes accessible for most of the year. This is the second in a series of two guidebooks to the via ferratas of the Italian Dolomites. The book chronologically documents the Trump years during his presidency of the United States with the use of black and white cartoons. Book 1 begins depicting Trump's years as POTUS commencing January 5, 2017, and averages more than one cartoon per day with the total amount of 407 cartoons ending with the last cartoon on December 31, 2017. The characterizations depict in a satirical way Donald Jay Trump's actions, inactions, perceived thoughts, and observations. All the ideas for the cartoons are taken from mainstream media sources, like the New York Times, and are not "Fake News". The intent of these portrayals of events during Donald Trump's tenure as President is very serious in nature although the cartoons may come across as tragically absurd. They are meant to provoke contemplation in a tragically humorous way. Themes like lying, denying, narcissism, blaming, racism, cronyism, misogynism, egocentrism, corruption, confrontation, idolatry, bigotry, hypocrisy, and others recur throughout The Apprentice's four-year tenure. Subsequent discussions include the history of the County, its establishment, organization, and settlement; lists of County Officers including some biographies of Judges, Circuit Clerks, State's Attorneys, Sheriffs, and County Treasurers; the county's involvement in the Black Hawk War, Mexican War and Late War, including a list of soldiers from Macon County who fought in the wars: their dates of enlistment, discharge, and if killed or wounded, where and when; the early days of Macon County: deep snow, games, amusements, bee hunting and deer hunting; the ecclesiastical history of the county, Methodist, Presbyterian, etc. and respective Pastors; manufacturers, improvements, agriculture and the railroads; various cities including Decatur, the county seat; education, learning facilities, early methods and school statistics; and Chapter 10 concludes the history with biographical sketches of the earliest settlers who came to Macon County prior to 1836, their families, births, deaths and marriages. An index to full names, places and subjects adds to the value of this work.
