The News Media at the end of the year 2011 are full of how the Republicans are going to win back the Presidency because of the "terrible" job President Obama is doing of running the country. I decided to write a book separating fact from fiction. Your author has become an expert at surveying the Internet to find out what is really going on in the world. I have discovered how to learn what is happening in a variety of technical subjects such as Sustainable Energy and Cosmology as well as the US Debt and the facts behind the 9-11 attack and demise of Bin Laden. I find the Internet is full of facts, but you must sort-out fact from fiction. I think this book provides an objective survey of the Internet as to why President Obama will be re-elected in 2012. I will try to summarize the Republican Contenders at the end of 2011 and some of their platforms in Chapter 8. President Obama's platforms are in Chapter 9.

Your author decided to write this book about Dynamics of Chemical Bonding after receiving an email from Caltech sent to alumni interested in various research activities taking place on campus at the California Institute of Technology. This subject caught my attention since I am interested in expanding my knowledge about science topics that could have a large impact on technology of the 21st Century. A technique called electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) is useful for mapping the electronic structural changes that occur as molecules bond with each other. But it isn't fast enough to catch the action as it is happening-on the attosecond (one quintillionth of a second) or femtosecond (one quadrillionth of a second) timescale. By applying their 4D electron microscopy technique to EELS, Ahmed Zewail and his colleagues have revealed the dynamic structural changes in a sample of graphite as it is compressed to form diamond. The technique, dubbed FEELS, offers resolution 10 orders of magnitude greater than the standard EELS method.

Can the world live without Wikipedia for a day? The shutdown of one of the Internet's most-visited sites is not sitting well with some of its volunteer editors, who say the protest of anti-piracy legislation could threaten the credibility of their work. The protest is aimed at the Stop Online Piracy Act in the House of Representatives and the Protect Intellectual Property Act under consideration in the Senate. Both bills are designed to crack down on sales of pirated American products overseas, and they have the support of the film and music industry. Your author wrote this novel describing Five Gay Love Conversions to add to his other two Gay Tale novels, which have been popular as judged by observing the statistics on the Google, Kindle, and Amazon lists of books read. The first 6 Gay Tales novel was based on academic gay societies except for one tale about lesbian Iraq War widows. The second 6 Gay Tales novel was based on gay love during the Afghanistan War, a gay love group in a Moslem bar, gay love in space, gay love between two cryptologists while they solved a hacking threat from Iranian hackers, and the seeking out and gay love living together of a US General and Colonel who had used gay love making to release tensions during the Afghanistan War. This gay couple found each other in Pismo Beach, California, where they moved to live with each other as gay lovers. This new book is a series of five stories suggested by news articles and Internet messages, with emphasis on how gay lovers found each other after deciding to convert to gay love making, after a traumatic love experience with their heterosexual lovers.

Your author decided to write this book about Wealth Accumulates to the Few when chatting with my son about how he felt after having been laid off from designing the software for the Mars Lander. His response was it caused him to think about social matters while working on a new Space Vehicle as a software consultant. He pointed out the following: During the Industrial Revolution, there has been more and more automation that has meant fewer and fewer human workers were required to produce the goods needed. He also reminded me that the rapid advancements in technology have made the goods needed grow obsolete at a more and more rapid pace. For example, travelers no longer use horse drawn carriages - they use automobiles that travel on the freeways at 75 mph instead of a carriage at 15 or 20 mph. Fewer and fewer people are buying Laptop computers since they can obtain more functions on a Smart Phone for a fraction of the price. In Detroit the automobile factories are almost deserted of human workers since the same jobs can be done better and cheaper by robots. So what is this doing? It is causing the Economic Wealth to accumulate to those few who were able to get in on the profit of one of these activities that generate huge profits. More profit - fewer people to share in the profit - therefore the wealth accumulates to that few.

Your author has based this book on the advice of a Israeli agent on how to avoid terrorist attacks, which is spelled out in Chapter 1. His advice is generated from having lived in Israel for many years where terrorist attacks are a way of life since they have so many enemies who would love to eliminate Israel from the face of the earth. I am especially sensitive to terrorist attacks, since when I was working on a classified project in Iran during the late 1970's, the colleagues with whom I was working were traveling from the Tehran Hilton Hotel to the project site by automobile. All of the people were attacked and killed by terrorists. I feel lucky to be alive since I was not in the car that day.

Several times each year I receive Engineering and Science, a magazine published at Caltech where I was awarded the BS in Physics in 1951. I learn all of the new areas of research being done at my alma mater. I am especially interested in Physics. This year I leaned that research is taking place in String Theory. In Physics, string theory is a theoretical framework in which the point-like particles of particle physics are replaced by one-dimensional objects called strings. It describes how these strings propagate through space and interact with each other. On distance scales larger than the string scale, a string looks just like an ordinary particle, with its mass, charge, and other properties determined by the vibrational state of the string. In string theory, one of the many vibrational states of the string corresponds to the graviton, a quantum mechanical particle that carries gravitational force. Thus string theory is a theory of quantum gravity. String theory is a broad and varied subject that attempts to address a number of deep questions of fundamental physics. String theory has been applied to a variety of problems in black hole physics, early universe cosmology, nuclear physics, and condensed matter physics, and it has stimulated a number of major developments in pure mathematics. Because string theory potentially provides a unified description of gravity and particle physics, it is a candidate for a theory of everything, a self-contained mathematical model that describes all fundamental forces and forms of matter. Despite much work on these problems, it is not known to what extent string theory describes the real world or how much freedom the theory allows to choose the details.
