  • - A Primer for Future Christian Metaphysics

With the publication of this book, the author has completed his trilogy on fundamental Christian metaphysics. (Each of the three books in the series may be used on a stand-alone basis.) The first book in the series - entitled "Classroom Version of As I See It: The Nature of Reality by God" - is written as a narrative in the first person singular as if God were writing in order to more fully engage readers in their introduction to Christian metaphysics. Although written second, the author's book - entitled "Divine Metaphysics of Human Anatomy" - is intended to be read last in the trilogy series. After the author finished writing "Divine Metaphysics of Human Anatomy," he recognized the need for a primer that would make Christian metaphysics more relatable and practical for students' daily use. That is why he wrote the current book - entitled "God, Our Universal Self: A Primer for Future Christian Metaphysics." This book is meant to help readers think metaphysically and solve problems daily using Christian metaphysics. All three books, taken together, will help readers understand how spiritual reality and physical reality are interwoven. The three books will also enable readers to harmonize mainstream Christianity with Christian metaphysics by demonstrating the two perspectives as complementary and not contradictory. Finally, the books in this series will enable readers to harmonize Biblical truth with facts and well-grounded theories from the natural sciences. (The only way to harmonize some aspects of the two is through Christian metaphysics.) All of the author's books on Christian metaphysics (including others not in this trilogy) will be useful not only to Christians before the return of Christ Jesus but also to those living during his Millennial rule on Earth.

The content of "The Biology of Psychism from a Christian Perspective" has been updated for this 2022 edition of its paperback book. Psychism in the context of this book includes: (1) the doctrine that consciousness is the universal soul force that animates all living beings, corporeal or incorporeal (here, the term "soul force" should not be confused with the branding of any product or any political or religious movement); (2) the essential character or nature of consciousness that permits conceptual communication between and among all living beings, corporeal or incorporeal; (3) the eternality of the soul, reincarnation, astral projection, and personal psychic abilities, including: hearing psychically, seeing psychically, spiritual healing, electromagnetic healing, "laying on of hands," telepathy, far-memory (recollection of past lives), far-seeing (clairvoyance), far-hearing (clairaudience), automatic writing, channeling, and other transcendent communications between extrabiological life forms (i.e., incorporeal beings) and biological life forms (i.e., corporeal beings); and (4) investigative research on, or study of, any one, any combination, or all of the previous topics. In summary, psychism is descriptive of (1) universal consciousness (i.e., general psychism) as well as (2) the extrasensory abilities of individuals (i.e., specific psychism). In its narrowest sense, a personal psychism (i.e., a specific psychism in an individual human being) is a divine spiritual charism when it is operated by the Creator-God's Holy Spirit. For the sake of clarity, a charism is a gift from the Holy Spirit to be used for the glory of the God of the Holy Bible. Author's Note: The English words charism and charisms are derived from the Greek words charisma (singular) and charismata (plural) [χάρισμα and χαρίσματα], both of which are found in the Greek New Testament [referenced in Strong's Exhaustive Concordance as G5486].

The content of "As I See It: The Nature of Reality by God" has been updated for the 2022 edition of its paperback book. (A student-oriented version of this book is available and published as "Classroom Version of As I See It: The Nature of Reality by God.") Metaphysics may be defined as "the nature of reality." Christian metaphysics may be defined as "the spiritual nature of reality viewed through the lens of the Holy Bible." Christian metaphysics is often written about with highly academic verbiage that is confusing to most readers. However, "As I See It: The Nature of Reality by God" is a book on Christian metaphysics that is written in understandable language. This book explains why the omnipresent God has sequestered the Glory of His Being in order to protect His fallen creation from annihilation and why God originally partitioned Himself into Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. People from different doctrinal persuasions will be surprised to find out how easily reconciled their various perspectives are. This book also compares and contrasts the spiritual universe with the physical universe and tells what will eventually happen to the physical universe, our planet Earth, and humankind. This book is written from the first-person perspective of God in order to more easily engage its readers. Please be assured that the author does not claim that this book is Scripture. In fact, the author reiterates often throughout his work that the Holy Bible is the only real Scripture and invites the reader into critical analysis of his work by using the Holy Bible to refute what he has written. To do this, over four hundred Bible citations are conveniently referenced throughout the book for the reader to review either during or after reading. The author has chosen to write as if God is the author because research in reading education has shown that first-person narrative text ("I") often rivets the reader's attention more ably than expository third-person text ("God" or "He"). Novice and seasoned Christian readers, as well as the general public, will be attracted to "As I See It: The Nature of Reality by God" - just as movie-goers from all levels of experience and different backgrounds have been attracted to such popular movies as "Oh, God!" and "Evan Almighty." These and other similar movies personalized God in order to make God more friendly, more relatable, and more interesting to viewers. So, too, does "As I See It: The Nature of Reality by God" help portray God to readers as more accessible, concerned, and involved by having God write to them in a conversational manner. This book will be especially helpful for those who have decided that the Holy Bible is too difficult for them to read and comprehend. They will find that it is not!
