Could a healthy young man love an undesirable woman, if the woman were misshapen and filthy? Could this young man, who only a few weeks ago was a lust-driven hedonist, love the Bible supremely? Could a mutual love for the Scriptures be motivation enough alone to make a good marriage? Even if the marriage were between the man and woman described above? Onesimus, the runaway slave of The Road to Rome accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord at the feet of the Apostle Paul. The Bible tells us that Philemon, the master of Onesimus, is a convert and special friend of Paul's. Paul insists that Onesimus return to his master, and he writes a letter to Philemon pleading for the life of the errant slave to be spared. Onesimus returns to Colossae along with another disciple: a tall, handsome fifty-year-old. Together they are carrying four letters of Paul to churches in Asia. The letters must be guarded with their lives, and very nearly costs them their lives. Then they meet Lois, a humpback hag with an air of pure stench. They are amazed to learn that she is the homeless daughter of Jewish priests who were stoned to death for their faith in Jesus Christ. The woman has memorized the Old Testament. She is a devout believer is the Saviour. Both men love her, and they adopt her for safe keeping. Tychicus asks Lois to marry him. She says, "No." Onesimus asks, and she says, "Yes." The wedding of this couple will live pleasantly in your mind for a long time. The couple returns to Rome to serve the LORD with Paul. Lois is kidnaped, and your heart will be broken by the ending of this tale.

Hebrews is an epistle by somebody who understood perfectly the Law of Moses, and the cultural history of the Jews which was based on this Law. The epistle is rich in ancient things and people: the Ark of the covenant and the altar; Abraham and Joshua as examples. Another devotional study by the author, this book is also full of cracker barrel philosophy and wisdom, as well as scientific knowledge. This blend of scholarship, common sense, creation, and science makes for fascinating reading. As a Bible literalist the author holds the Bible in great reverence and awe as God's preserved Word. The book has an index of important topics, as well as an index of scriptures used in the book. A complete table of contents lists the eighty-some essays. The essays take less than fifteen minutes to read, each one having its own title and scripture reference. The price of this book, like all of Kennedy's books, has the minimum royalty allowed.

The Invalid Warrior is another in a long line of books about the Apostle Paul: some good, some bad. Paul's life was so filled with adventure that a thousand books about his life would not be terribly repetitious. In thirty-four years of ministry Paul was beaten with rods or switches eight times. These beatings were so severe he surely needed at least six weeks to recover enough to walk. Dr. Luke's skill helped keep him alive. Luke would have likely done skin grafting to cover Paul's exposed ribs and spine. Paul would have needed massive doses of opium to make such surgery possible. What problems could large amounts of opium cause? This book begins with Paul as an eight-year-old racing with his companions through the streets of Jerusalem kicking an improvised ball. We learn of his birth and youth when he is delirious with pain in the Philippian jail, as he sees himself being born, thus covering the events of his entire life. Is Paul married? Did his Pharisee father disown him? We can only speculate, but the speculating makes good recreational reading. He spent a night and a day in the deep? Was he watched by voracious sharks? Where was he when he was robbed, and what was his state after his possessions wer taken? Did the robbers take his clothes? What were the miracles and signs he did? Were healings all that he did, or were there other miraculous works that would seem to us almost like science fiction, or magic? Meditate upon my Word, the Father commands. How interesting, even stimulating the meditations can be! The author of The Invalid Warrior used all of the stuff he could get his hands on the learn about Paul, and to pass it on to you in his three books. You will not only learn the missionary journeys of Paul, but much about his life as it is revealed to us in the epistles and in the Acts. Reliable secular history if woven in to broaden our knowledge of him and his exploits. Even in these books are not well written, you will gain from reading them. This book should be of interest to everybody who lives on this twirling globe. This book is a philosophical and scientific examination of the only honest and authoritative source for such information that exists - the Authorized Version of the King James Bible. He encounters a woman who has a kidnaped child in her possession. He is caught in a robbery at a convenience store, and faces a pistol muzzle. His chase of the kidnaper results in him being beaten almost to death. He has these adventures as he travels through the night, but sees his son only as he is being raptured up to meet Jesus in the air.

The saga of the pink dress and shoes to match leads into another tangle of events which the author guides you through to the end. These events are the catalyst that brings Irene's atheist parents to faith in Jesus. This is a satisfying tale that kids and parents alike can enjoy.

Chained to His Chariot continues the story of Paul's life from Illyricum, where The Invalid Warrior ended to his rented house prison in Rome where he is about to be evicted. With old age rapidly overtaking him, the Apostle was aggressive as he was in his youth. Blindness, illness, threats, abuse could no more deter the old man than they could deter the young man. Paul's life and legacy should be an inspiration to every Saint; and especially to unbelievers.

There is a charm about the creation story. Creation was the work of a charming Creator Who later became a man in order to die for the humans He created. It is the author's hope and prayer that he has been able to reveal a little of this charm for others to enjoy. Written mostly in first person, the book is written by a teacher who has taught the creation story to many people. On this warm August day in 2009, we are ten years older than when I wrote the original radio lectures which constitute this book. The facts of creation never change. There are four booklets included in this study: creation as revealed in conscience, Psalms, miracles, and the New Testament. The writer is not a scholar or scientist, simply a man talking informally about what he has learned from learned men. Hundreds of books have been written about creation, both pro and con.
