This novel is the complete set of Sons of Abraham, Volumes One, Two, and Three. The setting is the future, the year 3026. Around the 2500's, mankind struggled to maintain their populations as vanishing resources and growing populations left billions starving. What is mankind to do when the most brilliant minds are unable to save mankind? Build a better mind. The first Cybers were created, using cybernetic processors and storage drives to enhance a small group of scientist. The first generation Cybers worked feverishly to solve the issues, each taking a different approach towards solving the dilemma of a dying planet. Now, over five hundred years since the first Cybers were born, mankind still finds themselves plagued with problems. The Earth still remains a shell of a world, the population now dwindling below one billion, and still unable to feed their own. Terraformed planets, such as Taurus, import the vital agriculture to sustain the population, while other planets focus on their own economies. Each planet is populated with the various races and cultures from Earth's past, seeing new forms of governments spread throughout the galaxy. With these new galaxies comes new problems, such as issues of jurisdiction over crimes that span over multiple planets. Once more, mankind turns to the Cybers, now in their third generation, to act as mediators in these disputes, all in an effort to keep war from breaking out. Someone isn't happy with the way that man has evolved, taking it upon themselves to harness the power of the third gen Cybers, utilizing their wireless control program to inflict terror upon the galaxy. Now, people like Agent Nathan Calloway and Major David Ballistar must race against the clock to stop terrorism from spreading throughout the galaxy.
What is mankind to do when the greatest minds of the generation are unable to save the Earth from its own demise? Build better minds. We created the Cybers to find the solutions that would save mankind, turning to them time and time again to solve new problems that plagued our species. In 3026, we believed we had control over the 3rd generation of Cybers, using them to aid in criminal investigations that involved jurisdiction conflicts between various planets. All was well until Military Advisor Joseph, aka J-17, acted out against his programming, killing a high-ranking dignitary from Parasus during an investigation. Was this a random act due to faulty programming, or do darker undertones lie within the computer augmented minds of the Cybers?
