Nach seiner Teilnahme am Ersten Weltkrieg war er ab 1918 als Journalist in Wien und Berlin tätig. 1923–1932 war der Österreicher Korrespondent der Frankfurter Zeitung und emigrierte 1933 nach Frankreich, wo er 1939 in Paris starb.
