Ever since man looked up into the night sky at the lights above him, there has been a dream to touch these points of light and even live there. That dream was impossible for most of our human history, but it is not only possible but probable now. Mr. Parker was the lightning rod to bring the forces together to set in motion this previously impossible dream. Greg was the man to actual put it into place. Neither of them could do this alone. The challenges of creating a living and functional permanent environment on the moon's surface are almost beyond human belief, but Greg had accomplished the initial phase of this project ahead of schedule. But something was wrong. Something terrible had happened and it might spell disaster for the men and women already committed to the colony. There is no turning back, and there is no escape.
On Friday the 13th in April 2029, the asteroid named 99942 Apophis, also known as 2004 MN4 came so close to the earth that it actually was closer to the surface of our planet than some satellites. The incredible disaster that followed is documented in the first book of this series. The initial survival of the members of this colony was documented in the second. This is the third part of our story - told after the 'colony' was formed and the world has begun to mature under this new reality. People in this new world are forming families, communities, alliances, and even nations. The world is evolving into a place where the human again has risen to supremacy, but is it the same world that they ruled before? Perhaps the better question is - will we really survive the challenges of this new world and will there be more stories to tell?
No one could have anticipated the catastrophe that had occurred on Earth but it meant that they would have to continue their colonization efforts without any Earthbound help or guidance. It also meant that every member of the other space bound locations would have to find a way to resupply without the assistance of their Earthly headquarters. If they couldn't, they would all certainly die.Hundreds of people were stranded in these various space locations and their entire future now rested with Greg. Would it be possible for him to create a plan that would not only save his own lunar bound population but also the men and women circling the Earth in these man made facilities? If he doesn't, it would mean they would all die before they could ever got any help from Earth again.
How hard is it to change the entire economy of the world? It might be easier than you think. One person, one event, one discovery, one failure. That is all it takes to change the world. History has proven this time and time again. Will history be changed here? Can a tomato change the balance of power?

The incredible disaster that followed is documented in the first book of this series. This is the second part of our story - told after the initial event had passed and a 'colony' was beginning to form. No one in this group of survivors would ever experience the world the same and no one born afterward would ever understand the 'old world'. Surviving one great catastrophe is not a guarantee that these colonists will survive long term. They must work, learn, and find a little luck in their future. Will they?
Building a realistic world around the projections of our future is not an easy thing to do. There are so many difficulties to overcome. There are technical challenges that seem to be overpowering. There are environmental issues that are unresolved. There are so many people around the world who insist on a path of destruction rather than one of discovery. That is not the world that Tom lives in. Without great explanation, his world is one of discovery, enjoyment, and accomplishment. Tom is a rather normal young man who just happens to live on a cement island in the Gulf of Mexico in the not too distant future. His adventures include moving from one of these magnificent man-made creations to another. He describes how they are built and placed for use and how it is to live in such a wonderful place. If you are interested in seeing the world that could possibly exist soon, then you need to follow his adventures and his description of the day to day tasks that make up his life. For those of you who build game worlds and see the future as a wonderful place of adventure and challenge - Tom will help you see that world as it exists for him. Enjoy getting to know him, his friends and his family - and he will continue to describe this incredible world of the future for you and your friends and family.
Meet THEM. Perhaps you already have but didn't realize it. These are the five civilized and self aware beings that developed after the collapse of the dominion of dinosaurs. Until the overpowering and overwhelming 'terrible lizards' were removed from the Earth, they had no chance of developing beyond small and insignificant tribes and families. After the great fireball changed the Earth, these MASTERS divided up what remained of their world. For most of history, the Masters ruled their own sector of the world and pursued individual paths. Even though they live in and share some of the same places, they are not always aware that they are not the only self-aware animal. Sometimes history has recorded when they became aware of each other and their paths crossed. Those crossings were not always peaceful. Kanslina was the king of one of the human tribes and did not know that there was another master on the planet until his tribe crossed paths with THEM. His first introduction to his real enemy was after they were already at war. Once they knew about each other and had clashed in such a violent way, there were only three questions that had to be asked. Will one of these groups be conquered and destroyed forever? If not, was it because these groups overcame the urge to destroy each other? If they did overcome that natural urge, is it possible that they could go back to life as it was before?
On Friday the 13th in April 2029, the asteroid named 99942 Apophis, also known as 2004 MN4 will pass so close to the earth that it will actually be closer to the surface of our planet than some satellites. Some projections actually place it directly between the moon and the earth during this pass. What happens to the earth because of this? Will our calculations be accurate or will we experience some once in a millennium event that will alter our course of history forever? The world depicted here after 'The Effect' is that post 2029 world. It is changed forever by an event that was far from human control or expectation. Join these 'survivors' as they find a way to exist in a world that truly ended their former lives while still preserving their will to live. This book is the FIRST IN A SERIES that deals with the human will to survive in the face of unbelievable destruction and great personal peril. It gives us a chance to look at an event that may actually play out in our own lifetime and see how people might deal with the aftermath. It explores the possibilities of a world changed by events that were forced upon the population of the world by powers far greater than our own. It also demonstrates just how powerful our will to survive can be. No one in this group of survivors will ever experience the world the same and no one born afterward will ever understand the 'old world'. Come with us as we pass from the world of spacecraft and supersonic aircraft to a world that is completely different.
