    Of Another Time is a novel about the childhood adventures of Emon Barua, Barua, Kansan Konwar, Jai Saikia, Rupa Choudhuri and Puja Barua as they grow up in their neighbourhood in the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra. Set in the heart of India's North-East in the closing decades of the last century at a time when insurgency and terrorism was at its height not only in the North-East but other parts of India. In Of Another Time the contemporary Indian soceity has been shown through the eyes of children and all types of characters appear.
