A nostalgic look back at a year in the life of a teenage steam chaser at the end of British steam: steam-chasing adventures in 1966
Is Mormonism divine at the truth level? If not, what level is it? This question and others are addressed in the book "The Probability of Mormonism as Divine": (1) Where did Mormonism come from? (2) What is the validity of it? (3) Who is the Mormon God? (4) How open is it? (5) What are its strengths and weaknesses? (6) What is the likelihood of divinity? And, (7) What is a reasonable position to hold? The author believes religion is subjective and a special method is needed to assess it. He uses Bayes' probability theorem to study all the evidence both for and against Mormonism. Many Mormons say they know the church is true and the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Do they really know it? Does the probability level support it? If not, is it at the belief level of likelihood (belief based on faith)? Or, is it at the total disbelief level (atheist)? This book addresses these Mormon issues and more by using the scientific method.
