The Muslims, since the destruction of their Khilafah in the year 1924, at the hands of the disbelievers and their agents, have lived and continue to live a life of divisions, instability, weakness and insignificance. So after they were the leaders of the world they have become led and after having been one Ummah to the exclusion of all people they have now become divided peoples separated by manufactured borders that lie between them. They are ruled by man-made systems and their weak entities, that number more than fifty, do not benefit them or take them away from being considered part of the third world and they are helpless before the disbelievers if they wish to usurp and take away parts of their lands like they have done in Palestine amongst other lands. They have experimented with and been experimented upon with thoughts and man-made systems which have been taken from both the East and the West. The Tareeqah (Methodology) to resume the Islamic way of life must be taken from Islam alone because it is a complete and comprehensive ideology containing the Fikrah (thought) and the Tareeqah (method). Indeed it is a thought and a method and its method must be of the same type and kind as its thought. For this reason it is not permitted for those working in the Da'wah, to be diverted by even a hairs breadth away from the method because Allah (swt) has made this method Fard (obligatory). It is the Method that the Messenger of Allah (saw) proceeded upon until he established the Islamic State in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, the Islamic State that lasted for over 1300 years before it was destroyed at the hands of the disbelievers.

In the past 2 centuries many Islamic groups and political parties were established with the aim of calling towards Islam. They all claimed to be following the Messenger of Allah (saw), his Seerah and his Sunnah whilst at the same time each of them would bring an evidence in an attempt to prove the validity of the particular direction and view that they had adopted, whether this was an incident that happened, and action that the Messenger (saw) undertook, a Hadith that he spoke or a matter that he was silent over. This book is aimed at clarifying and setting the path for the Islamic groups and political parties, it is aimed at showing the reader how the Prophet (saw) carried the dawah. A beneficial and valuable addition for the Da'wah carrier by Allah's permission shedding light upon the relationship of the Qur'aan and the revelation of the Suwar, and the stages that the Da'wah passes through.

This book focuses on the origins of nationalism in the Muslim world. Nationalism did not arise in the Muslim world naturally, nor did it came about in response to any hardships faced by the people, nor due to the frustration they felt when Europe started to dominate the world after the industrial revolution. Rather, nationalism was implanted in the minds of the Muslims through a well thought out scheme by the European powers, after their failure to destroy the Islamic State by force. The book also presents the Islamic verdict on nationalism and practical steps that can be taken to eradicate the disease of nationalism from the Muslim Ummah so as to restore it back to its former glory.

The behavioural disposition (nafsiyyah) is the method for satisfying man's instincts and organic needs i.e. the manner in which they are satisfied according to a standard which man believes in and trusts. When the satisfaction is based on the Islamic Aqidah then he has an Islamic disposition, if not he has a disposition other than the Islamic behavioural disposition. If a person has one standard for the mentality and behavioural disposition, then his personality becomes distinctive and regulated. If the Islamic 'Aqidah was the basis of his mentality and behavioural disposition, his personality would be Islamic. If not, then his personality would be something else. The book seeks to help the Mumineen reaffirm their Iman in Allah such that their tongues are moist with the remembrance of Allah (swt), their hearts are filled with the fear of Allah (swt) and that their limbs hasten towards the good deeds. It guides the reader with various principles in forming the Islamic Nafsiya and the styles to achieve the correction visualization of the Islamic concepts.

Mankind progresses through thought. The most important factor affecting our actions in life is the thoughts we believe in and carry. Without thought man drifts aimlessly from situation to situation, waiting for things to happen, rather than initiating action and progressing.Man needs to take a comprehensive view of what we are, and how we should fit into the scheme of life in its entirety. Man not only is interested in finding a solution to these basic questions, but needs to take a view in order to have a reference point for all problems he faces. In short man needs an ideology or complete way of life to believe in and to regulate his affairs. There are answers available to these most fundamental of questions of who we are, why we are here and how do we relate to life not only now but life before us and life in the future. The challenge facing us is to exercise our minds to their full capability in finding the correct solution, a solution that can be tested against reality, and ration, and will be comprehensive for all circumstances.Only in the adoption of a comprehensive thought and ideology will mankind both individually and collectively have peace of mind and a solid foundation upon which he is freed up to truly progress. Society needs a way of life to which all problems can be referred and solutions readily given. It is not acceptable to let life pass, without contemplating and deciding the basis upon which life itself is built and organised

  • - Khabar Al Waahid does not establish 'ilm and it is not taken in the 'Aqaid

Over the years there has been a major discussion among students of knowledge and Fuqahaa about the subject of Khabr Ahaad whether it establishes 'Ilm i.e definite knowledge or not and thereby the question if it can be accepted in the 'Aqaaid. Scholars who claim that the khabr ahaad establishes 'Ilm and can be accepted in 'Aqaaid say that only the Jahmiyah, Mu'tazilah, Jabriyyah and Khawaarij differ in regards to this subject. The Author of this book considers those carrying this view as people who have gone away from the principles of Usool and has written this book as a detailed refutation about their views explaining why their viewpoint is not based on daleel (evidences) from the Quran, Sunnah and Ijma'a As Sahabaah to support it.

Since the events of 9/11 and 7/7, Islam and Muslims have increasingly been on the receiving end of a barrage of criticism. Many of the Islamic thoughts and practices have come under unprecedented attack under the banner of Freedom. The caricatures of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and the banning of the Hijab in France are just two examples of the attempts of western secular countries to actively malign Islam. This attack on Islam and Muslims is however not restricted to certain Islamic thoughts and practices. Rather the whole concept of Shari'ah, the Islamic legal System, is ferociously attacked. The media portrayal of life under Shari'ah where beating of women, beheadings and lashings are everyday occurrences, are now all too familiar images.Since the demise of Islam at a state level, the Shari'ah has ceased to be the basis of legislation in the Muslim world. What remains of the Shari'ah in the Muslim world is only a few scattered laws that are applied haphazardly. This has erroneously given the impression of the unsuitability of Shar'iah in the 21st century to deal with new issues and to solve modern, day-to-day problems. This booklet will explore and contrast some of the problems of the 21st century and compare the manner in which secularism and Islam attempt to solve them. This booklet will look at how the Shari'ah texts are capable of dealing with any issue, be they social, economic or international. The book will scrutinise the applicability of the shari'ah in the 21st century through looking at a variety of 21st century issues. A comparison will be made between the Shari'ah approach to tackling issues and the secular methodology and its effects.

One of the many graces which Allah (swt) has bestowed upon the generous Muslim Ummah is that He (swt) has made the whole Earth pure, so that it serves as a mosque and a grand mihrab, where Allah (swt) is worshipped in every single corner of it, whether in the mosques, in the markets, in the streets, or at schools and universities, in the houses, at the frontiers and so on.Therefore, the whole earth is a mosque and this is indicated by the hadith reported by Bukhari and Muslim on the authority of Jabir ibn 'Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, 'I have been granted five things which were not granted to any other prophet before me: I have gained victory with awe from the period of one month (before the battle); the Earth has been made sacred and pure and a mosque for me, so whenever the time of prayer comes for anyone of you, he should pray wherever he is; the spoils of war have been made lawful for me and these were never made lawful to anyone before; I have been granted shafa'a (intercession on the Day of Judgement); and every Prophet was sent particularly to his own people, whereas 1 have been sent to the whole of mankind."

The path to achieve revival and resume the Islamic way of life is a path adorned with struggles and challenges at all stages. It is a work that requires Nafsiyas (Islamic Disposition) that are unrivalled and elevated, formidable and purified. The way to achieve this is by strengthening the connection and relationship to Allah (swt), the Lord of the worlds and all creation. He Subhanahu must be relied upon alone for help and full Tawakkul must be placed upon Him alone, whilst the attainment of His pleasure must be made the highest aim of this life. It is necessary to reawaken the Nufoos (hearts) with Taqwa of Allah (swt) and obedience to Him, with the fear of His punishment and yearning for His gardens of paradise The one who carries the Da'wah is in the greatest need of being obedient to Allah (swt) and to stand firmly upon His Deen. If he was to do that then the Dunya would become insignificant in front of his eyes, the affair of the disbelievers would be diminished before him and the difficult matters would become easier. Across 12 Chapters, the author in this book has made a collection of Qurabaat (Acts of gaining closeness to Allah (swt)) and Taa'aat (Acts of obedience pleasing to Allah (swt)), which generate the Jaw Al-Imani (Atmosphere of Iman) within the Da'wah carrier and increase the realisation of his relationship and connection to Allah (swt) Ta'alaa.

  • - The principle to accomplish the actions and realise the objectives and its role in the life of the Muslim
    af Maktaba Islamia
    122,95 kr.

The concept of As-Sababiyah (causality) is from the fundamental concepts of the Muslims and which must remain clear to them. That is because their message in life is a message of action and because they live in the life for the sake of a specific objective. As-Sababiyah is from the Islamic concepts that connects to the Muslim's daily conduct in the case where the accomplishment of an action from amongst his daily actions does not occur without observing this Qaa'idah (principle), the Qaa'idah of As-Sababiyah. When the early Muslims from the era of the Sahaabah, the Taabi'een, the Taabi'ee At-Taabi'een and those who followed from the generation of Nahdah (revival) comprehended the concept of As-Sababiyah, when they comprehended it completely and understood it in a sound and crystallised manner, and practised their understanding in their behaviours and conducts they accomplished actions that resembled miracles if we were to compare them to our current time. That is because they carried Islaam, spread its Da'wah and opened up lands across the corners of the earth in the fasted time that history has known for a nation from amongst its nations that have passed. That was at a time when the means of communication and transportation were the camel in the best of circumstances.

  • - The Battle for Hearts and Minds
    af Maktaba Islamia

The first attempts at reforming Islam resulted in the abolition of the Khilafah and the end of nearly fourteen centuries of Islamic rule. However with less then a century passing from this historical event Muslims have returned to Islam and every day edge closer to the re-establishment of the Khilafah. It is for this reason that the West has once again initiated plans to change Islam, since any revival of Islam will naturally end in the establishment of the Khilafah which represents an alternative system of governance that would then challenge the dominance of capitalism in the world. The battle for hearts and minds is now fully underway. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair outlined this after the 7/7 attacks in July 2005: "It is not a clash of civilisations - all civilized people, Muslim or other, feel revulsion at it. But it is a global struggle. It is a battle of ideas and hearts and minds, both within Islam and outside."4This battle is taking varying shapes and forms. A spectrum of various shades of modernist thought ranging from the extreme such as that of Irshad Manji to the more subtle such as Sheikh Ali Gomaa form part of this battle for hearts and minds. Amongst this spectrum are people from various backgrounds including academics, activists and traditional Ulema. All are in some shape or form, knowingly or unknowingly, propagating the reform of Islam in order to change Islam to fit with contemporary realities instead of working to change the reality in order to fit with Islam. It is for this very reason this book has been written. To outline very clearly the attempts being undertaken to reform Islam and highlight the key styles and means being used. It outlines the specific arguments being used by the West and those smitten by the West. It looks at the events that have already occurred to reform Islam outlining the common approach taken by the West. It also outlines the correct method in defending Islam ensuring the responses do not inadvertently aid the agenda to reform Islam. It also outlines the method to go on the offensive rather than become defensive and accept the propaganda being levelled against Islam.

Due to the intellectual decline that has affected the Muslims throughout the last few centuries the subject of Ijtihad has become vague in the minds of many, unfortunately, including some thinkers as well as Ulema. Different extremes exist, some believe the doors of Ijtihad are closed whereas others have broken the doors of Ijtihad altogether. The following are some of the key misconceptions that have crept into the minds: a) The doors of Ijtihad are closed i.e. it is impossible and not permitted to undertake Ijtihad today.b) The scope of Ijtihad includes most things including definitive matters such as the prohibition of Riba (usury) and the prohibition of having nation states with a multiplicity of rulers in the Muslim world. It allows Islam to be reformed in order to apply to the modern age.c) Ijtihad is only personal reasoning and not the hukm of Allah i.e. it is the reasoning of an individual and therefore cannot be a shariah rule.d) Ijtihad is an individual obligation (Fard Ayn) and therefore Taqleed (following an opinion of a Mujtahid) is prohibited (haram). This book "Essays on Ijtihad in the 21st Century" is a compilation of independent articles written over a period of time, put together in a logical sequence. Written in a lucid language this book is a suitable read for all those who want to understand the practical reality of Ijithad and how it can be applied to the current reality. This key Islamic concept needs to be understood even more so in this era where the enemies of Islam attempt to defame it and portray it as a backward religion unable to deal with modernity and the challenges of the technologically advanced world. The doors of Ijtihad are not only open, rather it is a great Islamic duty, a fard kifaya (obligation of sufficiency) and the revealed method by which we are able to extract the rulings of Islam for all problems we face until the day of judgement.Besides the confusion over Ijtihad, there is ambiguity over the definition and conditions of a Mujtahid. This book explains the types of Mujtahid namely the Mujtahid Mazhab, Mujtahid Masála and Mujtahid Mutlaq.Chapters of the book include: Ijtihad and Applying it in the 21st Century - This chapter explains in detail what Ijtihad is, its scope and how it is indispensable for the Muslims to practice it.Evidences for Ijtihad - This chapter clarifies that Ijtihad is not something new, rather it is something which is the part of Islam since the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)The Mujtahid - This chapter is about the conditions for Ijtihad and the types Mujtahid.Exposing the Call for Reformation - This chapter elaborates how the word Ijithad is misused today by those who attempt to reform Islam and make it compatible with the secular liberal values.Understanding Dar al-Kufr (land of disbelief) and Dar al-Islam (land of Islam).Between Sufism and Salafism.Moon sighting - Distinguishing between nationalism, political allegiance & fiqh (jurisprudence).Understanding Illah (legal reason) and Qiyas (analogy).

Ever since the caliphate's demise, Muslims have remained upon a path of ideological decline. From the depths of poverty to the brutality of war, we have passively endured the exogenous pain and suffering brought upon us for many years. Unable to realise the great significance of thought in resolving our metacognitive anaemia, economic recovery became a mere figment of our imagination and the caliphate, a glorious but obsolete history. However, after decades in darkness the Muslims have become increasingly agitated by the depravity that pervades them. What started with dissent has now developed into a prodigious revolution across the Muslim world, characterised primarily by an overwhelming Islamic sentiment. At present, the caliphate is no longer perceived as a distant past but a near future, whose return has been made clear by Allah (Swt) in His promise to us: "Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion, the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace: They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me.' If any do reject faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked." [TMQ 24:55]Islam's imminent arrival has necessitated a vital discourse, in which its ability to purge the Muslim world of its economic woes must be explicated. This book seeks to do just that by expanding upon the Islamic economic system (IES), through contemporary economic theory; introducing the subject of economics and the political economy, whilst highlighting key issues ingrained within the capitalist laissez-faire system.Above all, it attempts to present Islam as a panacea to the maladies of capitalism by way of comparative economic analysis with the sole intent to extirpate (through revival) the ideological impotence that has plagued and obstructed our minds. In doing so, it will enable the reader to discern which ideology is more capable and efficient in solving key economic problems faced in our current reality.

  • - The Struggle for the Post Sykes-Picot Middle East
    af Maktaba Islamia
    187,95 kr.

The Middle East today stands at an epoch. The artificial architecture created by the British and French is tearing apart at the seams and no amount of stitching can keep it together. The Muslim rulers, who have long played the role of maintaining the artificial architecture in the Middle East, have lost their most potent weapon; fear. This was their only method of maintaining Sykes-Picot as well as themselves in power. Looking forward there are huge unprecedented demographic, economic, political, social, technological and geopolitical trends taking shape that will subsume everything standing in its way and sweep away those who try to maintain the status quo.In order to understand the present, the past needs to be evaluated. The actions, intrigues, plots and plans of the past have come to shape the Middle East today and understanding them will give us a better idea of the current situation of the region. To comprehend the Middle East of the future, an accurate assessment of the region today is necessary in order to place the emerging trends in their correct context. This book looks to provide answers to a number of questions. How did the Muslims, led by the Ottomans, go from a global power to the sick man of Europe? Was the Sykes-Picot agreement a folly by the French and British empires and poor strategic planning? Or part of a carefully constructed plan to divide the Muslim world in order to control it? Does the Arab spring confirm the end of Sykes-Picot and a new dawn for the people of the region? What are the most important emerging trends going forward? What do these mean for the region and beyond? What myths exist of the region which are simply untrue and upon closer scrutiny, do not stack up to the facts?

This excellent book is translated from the original Arabic book 'سرعة البديعة by Sheikh Taqiuddin An Nabahani, an Islamic jurist, 'alim, writer and the founder of Hizb ut-Tahrir . Intelligence, Thinking, the reality of thinking and the method to think have been subjects of great inquiry and debate among scholars and philosophers globally. However, various academicians have proposed different inconclusive theories, without anything concrete that clearly defines the Human mind, its reality and how it thinks. This book is a must-read for all those people who wish to build a clear and decisive way of thinking. It is a subject rarely written or spoken about and Nabahani has gone a far way in trying to explain the subject to the readers.
