Zena Hawkins, granddaughter of Cordelia and Kevin Newkirk, has been brought up at Bridgewater where her life has been somewhat mundane - few friends but many societal strictures. Like other girls her age she has crushes on movie stars and dreams of being 'discovered' by Hollywood. Zena's dreams come true when an old family friend and Hollywood producer invites the twenty-year-old to come to Hollywood and fill a small role in his latest production. What follows is pure Hollywood magic! As Zena soars to on-screen heights her private life is anything so meteoric. Life altering events cause Zena to shoulder responsibility she isn't ready for while she deals with a broken heart. More than anything Zena wants to find her true love. Little does she know he waits for her in an orchard. Or so she believes. Happiness is in her future. But we all know the road to happiness is filled with bumps and unexpected turns. Through it all Zena comes to depend on the quiet wisdom of a blue plush bear called Teddy Blue. Through good times and bad, he is there with her. This is his story as well as Zena's. Will Zena find her happiness and true love? Will she follow her mother's glamorous life, continue the Newkirk dynasty, or opt for the simple life? The answers are here, in Book 3 of The Bridgewater Chronicles.
Two novellas combine to tell the tale of The Bridgewater Legacy. Part I - The Bridgewater Chronicles - the twins of Zena Hawkins leave their mark on the family home but leave no heirs. Part 2 - - The Conservancy discovers an obscure descendant of Kevin Newkirk. Will this heir take on the challenges of Bridgewater or will the estate face the wrecking ball? With self-guided hover cars, clinical human reproduction, android house servants, and virtual offices being routine conveniences of the future, how will Bridgewater manage to remain relevant? Secrets are revealed and questions answered in this final book of The Bridgewater Chronicles.
Bridgewater Holidays is a companion book to the popular Bridgewater Chronicles series. The series spans the time period from 1890 through the present. Bridgewater Holidays centers on the extravagant celebrations of the major holidays at Bridgewater and how those celebrations impact not only the Newkirk family and their guests but shows us the celebration from the viewpoint(s) of their dedicated domestic staff. The book is a compilation of short stories and each story is set in a different era. A brief background is provided for several of the holiday stories. You'll find yourself smiling, laughing, and at times reaching for the tissue box or lace-trimmed hanky as you learn how the holidays are celebrated at Bridgewater where oftentimes the preparation for the holiday is just as intriguing as the festivity itself.

Author Marion Garbien Marchetto (a member of Polish Falcons Nest 208) was born and raised in the Lower Naugatuck Valley, a direct descendent of Polish immigrants who settled there. In Valley Memories, she reprises her news column of the same name and adds additional memories of her childhood growing up in the 1950s and 1960s. To give perspective to the articles, she includes a bit of local history and recounts her memories along with the traditions of her ancestors. Readers will find themselves taken back to a time when The Valley was in the midst of change as it left the Industrial Revolution behind. Ms. Marchetto's memories are indicative of the lives of Valley residents but overall can be compared to life in other small communities around the country. More than just the memoirs of a baby-boomer, Valley Memories gives a glimpse into a way of life that no longer exists.
