The Smallwood Store in Chokoloskee was an informal community center for pioneers almost 100 years ago who shopped and got their mail there. It also did a thriving trade with the native Seminoles who trusted founder Ted Smaalwood.The building and its artifacts have been preserved for our enjoyment and education.
