Hierbei liegt der Fokus auf dem Genozid an den Herero und Nama in der ehemaligen Kolonie Deutsch-Südwestafrika(heutige Namibia). Neben der Analyse von schriftlichen Primär- und Sekundärquellen werden sowohl Bilder als auch Karten auf ihre Aussagekraft untersucht. Inwieweit die Verarbeitung der kolonialen Vergangenheit Einzug in deutsche Schulbücher gefunden hat, wird im Anschluss dargelegt. Als letzter Analysepunkt werden die Schulbücher im Hinblick auf Termini untersucht, die rassistische Denkmuster widerspiegeln. Abschließend werden die Ergebnisse im Fazit zusammengefasst und Verbesserungsvorschläge für künftige Schulbücher geäußert.
