A finales de otoño, el protagonista y narrador, Michal Witkowski, se retira a un resort turístico de playa, totalmente solitario en esa época del año, para escribir la novela que le proporcionará dinero, fama y todos los premios literarios. Se aloja en una pequeña casa en medio del bosque, pero le cuesta avanzar con el libro, ya que su atención se centra en su depresivo anfitrión, Robert (el leñador). Michal, intrigado con este personaje y tras seguir la pista de una fotografía, inicia una investigación que le conducirá a un antiguo centro de ocio de la época comunista y al olvidado caso de la desaparición de una belleza local. De una forma de lo más excéntrica y con la colaboración de los arquetípicos y grises personajes que se encuentra, Michal indaga en el pasado del leñador.Este audiolibro está narrado en castellano.Michal Witkowski es un escritor polaco. Se licenció en Filología Polaca en la Universidad de Breslavia. Su obra, usualmente de temática «queer», ha sido traducida a más de dieciséis idiomas y su novela «El leñador» recibió los premios Paszport Polityki y Gdynia y fue finalista del prestigioso premio Nike.
