When not helping my dad train our beautiful horses, my head was buried in books about kids my age. I relished every story of a young person's adventures, struggles and conquests. My heroines' victories ultimately led me to my own. Growing up in a family of very modest means, I joined the military to not only serve my country, but to gain access to the education I knew was, undoubtably, my only way of influencing young minds, like mine had been influenced all those years ago. With a master's degree in education and thirty years as a Language Arts/English teacher, I continued to bury my head in books that would help children reach the greatest potential possible in their young academic lives. To conclude, when my precious granddaughter began her near-impossible situation, I was well-prepared to tackle the adventure, as well as the heartbreaking struggle, knowing the end result would be a great conquest; all because of God's great glory and love/support of family!

Flies tend to get a 'bad rap' because they are: Despicable! Black! And Hairy! This isthe story of one fly's journey into the lives of several families and one of their familypets. The conversations of the families, lead this normally despicable pest todevelop unnatural human-like feelings. It spends its two-week life span buzzing, flitting, eating, pestering, listening. Until it finally descends to the tile floor of thegooey-faced children it first encountered.....the fly on the wall!

Spending my adolescent years on a working farm, I helped my father train the horses he rescued from abusive situations. It was a wonderful time spent with a brave cowboy. I suppose this second book, I am delighted to have been given the words to write, was inspired by the constant pestering I received as a youthon the farm by 'the flies on the walls!' However, as all young adults do, I left the horses, pigs and chickens behind and spent the next thirty years seeking knowledge through life-long educational opportunities that would ultimately allow me to follow the passion of teaching young minds to be confident independent thinkers, while pursuing my dream of writing books designed to help children with challenging struggles or igniting an interest in normally unlovable, pesky insects like 'The Fly on the Wall.

Families deal with struggles on a daily basis. This is the story of one little girl's struggle to finally exercise the basic need of relieving herself in a 'big person's toilet'. She only has two days before Kindergarten starts and her life changes forever.
