The present study assesses the way the European Union is organised as a decision making organisation and the impacts it has on international as national legislation of each member countries politics. The cooperation on the intergovernmental level in policing, crime investigation, mutual aid and assistance or being it on military cooperation were every single country represented via NATO, which is the main military and security organisation with the duty of protecting the E.U. via its military capabilities. To be able to assess the implementations of the European Union as an institution and its cooperation is via the signed treaties it is important to understand the development, on how the common ground was established, and how it works. The Schengen agreement with its free movement in between the E.U. its interests but also its security-related issues, and why the E.U. and NATO are tight together. None less how the E.U. tries to establish more its own European Security Defence Identity (ESDI), within NATO but without the official participation of the United States and what role the United States play, regarding the ESDI, since they do not want a copy of NATO for E.U. military forces.
This book talks about security and geopolitical issues and reasons of war on the view of individual countries. It analyses some of its past history and how they have reacted to it. At the same time, this book talks about open intelligence security failures and the need for intercontinental agreements in fighting money laundering and terrorism. This book is treating several different themes in its chapters on a single issue problem. It varies in between some chapters depending on past problems, new and current one.
