The Mormon Girl is a novel written by Paula Brown in 1912. The story revolves around a young girl named Mary who is brought up in a Mormon family in Utah. Mary is a devout believer in the teachings of the church and is determined to follow the path that has been laid out for her. However, as she grows older, she begins to question some of the practices of the church, particularly with regards to polygamy. As Mary struggles to reconcile her beliefs with her doubts, she is faced with a number of challenges, including the disapproval of her family and the community around her. She also finds herself torn between two very different suitors, one of whom is a Mormon and the other a non-Mormon.Throughout the novel, Brown explores the complex and often controversial issues surrounding the Mormon faith, including polygamy, the role of women in the church, and the tensions between Mormons and non-Mormons in Utah. The Mormon Girl is a thought-provoking and insightful look at one young woman's journey of faith and self-discovery in a challenging and often hostile environment. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Published with assistance from BePublished.org in December 2018, Paula Brown's literary debut (MY PASTOR, MY MOLESTER, MY LOVER) is a gripping work of non-fiction that uncovers dark secrets and provides pathways to breakthroughs. The author penned this work in hopes it would help those in similar situations find healing."In order for me to receive God's beauty, I had to surrender the nastiness of my past. It wasn't easy to recognize the beauty. The ashes of my brokenness were scattered so high. When I learned to totally trust God, He began to shape and mold my life. My faith grew and it gave me a brand new identity. Without a doubt, I know who I am and for that, I'll keep giving him my ashes," Paula reveals. "My truth is that my body was molested and my mind was raped. At the age of 13 I should have been enjoying my life as an adolescent, hanging out and enjoying my friends. Instead, I was taken advantage of by a man of the cloth, a man of power, a man that I trusted and looked up to in my church. The Devil had strategically positioned him to harm me.The devil had convinced me that the things that happened to me occurred because of something I had done. As though I was to blame. He planted the seeds in my mind that I should have done better, I should have been different. The truth is, Kilgore should have done better. I was an innocent child. I now understand that my past does not define who God created me to be."Available as an ebook for $9.95, MY PASTOR, MY MOLESTER, MY LOVER by Paula Brown may also be purchased worldwide as a paperback for $19.95 from your favorite book retailer.

Gren waited for Lawson outside of the entrance to Epcot. She had already been through security and she stood on the side. He would know where to find her. Gren had never been happier. She lived in a small apartment; it was the first time that she had ever lived on her own. Her parents helped her with the rent. She had an internship in which she was gaining valuable experience. The internship didn't pay much, so she had a part time job on the side. She also attended college online. She was busy, but somehow, she managed to keep her Mondays free. Each Monday she and Lawson would hit one of the Walt Disney World parks. Gren had an Annual Pass because her parents were Disney Vacation Club members, and she made sure that she used it. She and Lawson would also sometimes get together during the week for dinner or a movie. Things were about to change, and at the early hour she didn't want to think about it.Lawson had quickly become Gren's best friend. She felt like she had known him for her entire life. Their feelings for each other went deeper than friendship, but they were both busy and they knew that the timing wasn't right. While Gren's parents helped her out financially and emotionally, Lawson didn't have any family because he was orphaned at an early age. He worked at a local restaurant and was putting himself through college. He also had an Annual Pass, and had been able to arrange his schedule so that he could spend Mondays in the parks with Gren. When Gren saw Lawson walk through the security line she waved to get his attention. "Sorry I'm late," Lawson said as he approached her.Hurry lets get to Test Track before the lines gets too long. They sat back because the ride had started. Gren could not stop thinking about the young woman seated behind them. The news that she had to share with Lawson also weighed heavily on her mind. Her favorite part of the ride was the end, when it looked like they were about to hit a wall but instead the car went outside and sped up to 65MPH. Gren sat back to enjoy it. As they neared the fake wall, everything started to blur.

Gren recognized Lawson's voice but wasn't sure if he was actually there, or if he had broken the law by wandering into her dream. She opened her eyes, unable to see much because of the dim light."Lawson?" Gren squinted, trying to figure out where she was. She was sure that she was in the classroom, having a dream wandered by Lawson with Hutch observing. The strange thing was that it didn't feel like a dream. Her eyes adjusted. The room was small, dirty, and musty. At the front, there was a door with bars on it. She didn't see her partner anywhere. "Lawson, where are you?""Over here." There was a hole in the wall, which someone reached through. "See my hand?" There were several smaller holes; the wall didn't seem very well built."Where are we?" Gren asked."I have no idea," Lawson replied, "but we're obviously not at the Learning Center anymore.""Is this another test?" Gren asked.Lawson sighed. "No, I think we're in bigger trouble than that.""How did we get here?" Gren wanted to know."I'm not sure," Lawson replied. "Everything is kind of blurry in my mind. I remember I stormed out of Hutch's class and went for a walk to calm down. I sat down for a little while. The next thing I remember, I woke up here. They brought you in a couple of units ago, and I've been trying to get you to wake up ever since. What do you remember?""I went searching for you, after the morning meal," Gren said, trying to concentrate. "I was supposed to meet Calli and everybody by the lake two units later. I thought you might be there, so that's where I started looking. Someone grabbed me from behind. I fought," she looked down at her sleeve, realizing that it had been torn, "but there were two of them. They put something over my face. That's all I remember.""I wonder what they want with us," Lawson said."Not wonder, wander!" A short, heavy man stood outside the door. He laughed, pleased at his own joke.
