I composed this music as contemporary music for the modern pianist, for the pianist to have fun playing and at the same time master stylistic features of music of different styles, and to hone musical and technical skills. Each piece focusses on a particular style of music, with a certain musical or technical problem for the pianist. Overall, the music is designed to be fun and for the pianist to return to time and time again. This music is designed to bring back the joy of playing music for one's own edification.
