This book is written for teachers of the Scriptures. Most teachers explain the text very well using all the Hermeneutical resources they can, but what is lacking is that they don't show how to live those text. The truths need to be "fleshed out." so we can see through examples what living those truths "looks like" in real life. I used to think there were no examples, just principles taught, but the more I prayed and thought the more I saw examples of biblical truths throughout the Scriptures, in Church History, and in my personal life. We need to teach using these examples so that the way to live is clear and because it will encourage those whom we teach that believers, especially the teach, is living what we are teaching. The truths are not theory but a real way of life.
The author's recollections of fishing as a shared family sport and pastime by several generations, on the peaceful waters of Maine. A memoir of insights enhanced by dozens of vintage photographs.
David Chambers was born into a strictly religious family. As members of the Eternal Fellowship, they have chosen to reject the ways of the world and have separated themselves from the rest of humanity. As his arranged marriage to another follower - a woman he has come to dislike - looms ever closer, David decides to break off the engagement. This comes as a shock to his betrothed, his family and the wider Fellowship community. When the beautiful Alison Johnson, a non-believer and former classmate re-enters his life, David makes a series of decisions that will change his life forever. Righteous Release will captivate the mind of the reader as David begins a life that is beyond his comfort zone. There are a number of difficulties to overcome as he adapts to his new existence. Has David jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire? Will he return to what he knows or embrace his new-found freedom?
