Description: Seasons of My Heart is a poetical record of the first animal, "Rusty," the first butterfly, "Tony," the first object, "My beautiful sailing ship" and the first people that touched the author's heart and the seasons in which they appeared.
God called his servant living on the earth to stand before his throne. God's servant was given the task of finding one certain young man who had lost his way. He was given the precise words to say to the young man. When the lost young man was found, the Lord's servant spoke the words given to him by God and the lost young man's heart was struck and he repented of his old ways. He who was lost was told he must be baptized by one in authority and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost then continue to keep God's commandments and endure until the end. The young man became the first convert of God's messenger and he converted many others. God summoned his servant yet again to stand before his throne. God praised his servant for his success. The Lord's messenger was then given the task to return again to the earth and take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the far corners of the earth. To baptize all believers, to give all these the gift of the Holy Ghost and to ordain those worthy with the authority to preach the gospel, to baptize, and to give the gift of the Holy Ghost to all those believers who are worthy to receive it and to call all the worthy to be missionaries throughout the world.
The Happy Monsters must leave their own planet because the Scary Monsters who also live there treat them mean and cruel. They land their purple rocket ship in Harwood Hollingsworth's back yard and the adventure begins.
A little girl discovers a tree in the playground of her school that is little like she is.When she talks to the tree, the tree talks back to her and says, "use your imagination, and don't forget to dream, then close your eyes and just believe and you'll see things other people can't see." The little girl does close her eyes and she does believe and she does see things other people can't see.
A quiet look at the sudden stillness of nature. Memories of the sometimes surreal, college life of the 60's told with words that make sounds and may allow the reader to experience a lovely taste of déjà vu. A series of poems started in California, continued on the American River College campus, Brigham Young University, Rhode Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, Canada. Written from 1964-1968.
