Teach your child patienceOne sunny morning the envelopes cameColorful, shiny, with each creature's name. Some opened them carefully, others just toreAnd all of them knew just what lay in store."You're invited to the palace next Sunday at twoIt's the king's birthday party; he'll be waiting for you.The Lion King celebrates just once a year -So come one and all - we're expecting you here!"
I've Only Got Three HandsBig problems were brewing in monster landWhere one boy's bedroom was way out of hand; When bedtime came, well, his room was a mess! And that mischievous monster couldn't care less. A delightful educational teaching moment-a fun and creative story!I've Only Got Three Hands: Keeping your room is a clean, fun, interesting rhyming story for kids ages 6 -8 years -old; the brilliant colors and illustrations add to the rhymes. The story flows well a quick read, ten minutes for any time or bedtime.Mrs. Monster was having a difficult, time getting her son, little monster to help clean his room before bedtime. It was always a challenge getting him to pick up his toys and things. So the two would have more time for reading books; as Mrs. Monster reminds him.Eventually, the little monster realizes, that to spend more time with his mom; he needs to help. The lesson of the story is to teach children to help, tidy up their room, do chores, and help parents. Leaving more time together, to read, your favorite bedtime book. Clara b.**Learning to clean up with the best reward ever! Children have a challenge when it comes to cleaning their rooms and picking up after themselves. Parents have different ways of dealing with this, but I liked the way this was presented.A young monster doesn't like to clean his room each day, but he loves to have bedtime stories read to him. Mom takes a long time to clean up for him, and reminds him, as he waits and watches her do the work. After a few nights of story time neglect, the young monster gets the message and cleans his own room. He is rewarded with not only story time, but his mom has time to sing to him, too. Jessica D. Adams, AuthorAn awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children's (preschool/elementary age) room cleaning storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out-of-line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children's educational presentation (room responsibility), movie, animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.Tony Parsons MSW (Washburn)

Real-life issue/Imaginary Tale - Great Lesson!English Hebrew Bilingual Book - ספר ילדים דו לשוני ♥ Mommy Thinks I'm Yummy ♥When I was young, still in daycare, my mom would joke and give me a scare. She'd ask for a bite because I was sweet, she thought it was funny to nibble my feet.Even my tushy, but I said she could not, I need it to sit, I need it quite a lot.So, I decided I'd make things very clear, I wrote a book about it - it's right here!◆★◆★I believe that every mom knows that feeling, that she has to, just has to, take a bite of that little nose of her own private toddler. However, sometimes we forget that toddlers don't always get the humorous tone, and take things literally, so, when we tell our darlings we want to take a bite of their nose, we see a scared look in their eyes. That's exactly where Sigal Adler takes us in her new book, Mommy Thinks I'm Yummy. It is Sigal's intention to explain, in her book, that it's only a game, a figure of speech, and no more. The book is humorously written, and it describes a bedtime dialogue between a mother and her son. The mother tries her best to convince her son to give her just a small bite of his ear, bum or hand, doesn't matter which part, as long as he gives her some, and the boy gives amusing explanations, as to why he simply can't, and why every body part is important.

Tony Parsons A fun book for any kind of day! "Good day or bad day I love you Anyway" is a fun book. It's perfect to remind young readers and preschoolers that their parents will love them even if they have a grumpy, grouchy, tiring day. In the story Monster wakes up and everything seems to go wrong. He gets milk on his shirt, but Mom has a new one ready. His mom worries about being late for work so everyone rushes around trying to prevent another mishap. In the end, Monster is sorry that he wasn't polite toward his mom. But, like most moms, she understood that we all have challenging days now and then. But Mom will love you through it all. I think that's such an important message; maybe the best ever. I highly recommend this story. It told in entertaining rhyming verses and the illustrations are bright and engaging. No doubt it will be a huge success. Little ones and their families are sure to love it.review by children's author Deanie Humphrys-Dunne

The Grasshopper and the AntWhen you work all summer to save up your crumbsYou'll have no worries when wintertime comes.About Aesop's FablesWho was Aesop, and why are his fables famous all over the world? In fact, very little is known about this mysterious Ancient Greek figure. He is thought to have been a slave originally from Africa, but even that isn't known for certain. But his stories, with their talking animals and simple moral lessons, have been popular for thousands of years. They have been translated into almost every language and were among the first books to be printed when the printing press was invented in the 1400s. The most famous Aesop's Fable is probably the story of The Hare and the Tortoise, with its message that "slow and steady wins the race." Children everywhere have grown up loving these delightful short tales, learning and growing through their bond with these timeless classics.I grew up enjoying many of Aesop's fables and I'm excited to share them with you here in my own style, a little more contemporary and told in rhymes to make them fun to read and listen to. I hope you and your kids will love sharing these stories and learning from their messages just as much as I always have.**Sigal Adler adds a new book to her impressive number of books for children. This time 'round she continues her survey of Aesop's Fables (THE GRASSHOPPER AND THE ANT is Book 2 of that series) and in doing so she not only provides quality reading entertainment, but also opens the path for children to appreciate beloved fables of yesteryear. Each of her books was written in Hebrew and as they became best sellers in Israel she decided to have them translated into English to benefit an even broader range of children. As always Sigal's rhyming style is delightful. The stories are not only entertaining but they also carry some subtle messages to those children fortunate enough to read them - or have them read to them. The books are enhanced by illustrator Abira Das. The Aesop fable Sigal uses describes how a hungry grasshopper begs for food from an ant when winter comes and is refused, the moral being the virtues of hard work and planning for the future. Sigal's retelling of the fable in rhyming fashion places a more positive stance and makes this important fable accessible to children and is a particular joy, summarizing the tale as follows: 'When you work all summer to save up your crumbs You'll have no worries when winter comes.' But on to the lyricism - 'Once a grasshopper lived near a sweet ant Wonderful neighbors around the same plant; Childhood friends so loyal and true, Good-hearted bugs they were through and through.' The ant uses her time in the spring to gather food while the grasshopper relaxes and lives for music, games, and play. But when winter comes the ant has her food and the grasshopper is left without friends, needing to depend on the friendship with the ant to survive. 'That's how they spent the winter that year Proving that friends are good to have near. A fun story with a solid message beautifully illustrated - and Sigal Adler successfully adds to her repertoire of fine children's books. Grady Harp

Everything I've Never Seen*************************If you're like most people today, you know kids who don't like to read, or feel discouraged by how challenging it can be. Maybe even your own kids. And who can blame them? Today's world is full of stimulation, bright colors, TVs, computers, phones-and they all take up so much time in our lives that and as a result, our kids are reading less. But reading and interacting with the environment have been proven to have a powerful impact on children's educational attainments and even on acquiring basic life skills. So it's more important than ever today to help our kids love reading by themselves, even from the earliest stages. How can we teach kids to read? How can we help kids read better? And how can we instill a love of reading in today's kids so they'll want to read more and more?Sigal Adler has developed this interactive series, Everything I've Never Seen, out of the belief that despite the fact that the importance of rhyme isn't emphasized in schools when learning to read and write, this is a method which has come into use more and more over time. Children with dyslexia, for instance, find it much easier to understand words when they rhyme rather than dissecting them into letters and syllables.Meeting with children in kindergarten and the early grades, Sigal has met many children who have succeeded in learning to read and write thanks to rhyme. It's simple, enjoyable - and it works. Now you and your kids are invited to learn together... grow together... laugh together, as you explore the hilarious interactive world of Everything I've Never Seen!
