During her research and interviews for the book Hensley noticed that many tales were connected and many experiences were shared by multiple parties. This book is unlike Hensley's other works, but only because she worked with family and friends to ensure the accuracy of each tale she is now passing on to the readers. The illustrations in the book are straight from Hensley's mind as she retold the many tales that have plagued her, her family, and her friends over the years.

I wrote this as a way to exorcise my own demons that I dealt with once I finally decided to put away my childish things and try to become an adult.
