This book is about my personal journey throughout life. It tells the story of all the people that have touched me emotionally. Although names will not be used, the people who played an active part in the remaking of my character will know who they are. This book also speaks of many untold feeling that I held inside but never knew how to voice them outwardly. When the pains of life are just too great, when I cannot seem to see the light of day the words of faith, love, hope, and trust seem to explode forward from the very depths of my soul onto paper. The road to becoming a poet has been a long one for me the bizarre part is that I have not come to the end what this means is there is room for me to grow. My life has been full of hardships but I would not change anything that has happened because I have come to see that everyone blow I took to my ego, or anytime I was knocked down and got back up, only pushed me one-step closer to the person I have now become. ~the prolific penman

This book is dedicated to the love of my life; to me her heart was a star that started off in the distance as something that I thought I could never touch. However, the moment I changed the way I thought was also the moment I changed the direction in which my life was headed. This was also the start of the journey for that far distant star called her heart. The voyage has matured me in more ways than either of us could have ever foreseen. I have had to deal with issues that I had been running from for a long time. I dealt with them out of love for myself as well as out of the love I felt for her. I hope that by reading this she will see that I know and understand just how painful yet beautiful growth can be. It is also my hope that she will open her eyes, heart, and soul at the same time so that God can not only heal her but also show her the hidden mysteries behind the driving force called my love.

These poems speak of the love, knowledge, and understanding I have learned while facing the countless storms in my life. I have come to see that mistakes have a voice but in order to hear what they are saying you have to be willing to turn down the volume of the world. All of my mistakes have only helped me to find the path to what is right for me. I was taught what life was all about through the struggles of always losing the material things, but never really losing the connection to the people who have or had touched my life.
