I was asked to teach a three hour course on the Sacrament of Baptism. So I used the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) to help me gather data and information. I discovered the Catechism is a rich source of valuable teachings and insights. These are some of the insights that I obtained from the Catechism to help guide me to teach the three hour course on the Sacrament of Baptism. I've used this book not only to teach parents and Godparents, but also to train Lay Catechists to help teach the Sacrament of Baptism. This is a basic course for all parents and Godparents and also for any individual who are interested in learning more about the Sacrament of Baptism.
Not all of these jokes are considered humorous to everyone. Please laugh at your own discretion. If you find it funny, please feel free to share it with your family, friends and loved ones. Please disregard all stories that you do not find funny. Laughter may also hurt your tummy, so try not to laugh too hard.
Characterized as a season of hope and anticipation, Advent is an opportunity to prepare our hearts for the two arrivals of Christ. The first is Christmas, and the second is the parousia. Over the years, I've written down some reflections and insights on the meaning of Advent, and would like to share it with you, with the hope, to help you prepare your hearts of Christmas during the holy season of Advent. Thank you for your support, and may the Holy Spirit renew your own spirit, and help foster your relationship with Christ. Peace, Fr. Vu Tran
Catholic Prayer Book Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples." He said to them, "When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test. Luke 11 The Book of prayers contains the following prayers: Sign of the Cross Our Father Hail Mary Glory Be St. Michael Prayer Guardian Angel Prayer Prayer Before Bed Act of Contrition The Fatima Prayer Hail Holy Queen Memorare Grace Before Meals Morning Offering The Jesus Prayer Apostles Creed Prayer to the Holy Spirit The Angelus Regina Coeli Prayer for Spiritual Communion Prayer Before Mass Anima Christi Prayer After Communion Prayer After Mass Prayer to St. Joseph Prayer to St. Jude Prayer to St. Anthony of Padua Prayer to St. Therese of Lisieux Prayer Of St. Patrick Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi How to Pray the Rosary Divine Mercy Chaplet
I have often give people this simple advice: "You need to read the Bible." Although this advice is well-intentioned, it may not be the most effective. Why? Because the Bible is not just one book, but a library of books. This advice is ineffective as telling someone to read the entire library. Telling someone to read the entire Bible without giving them a system may make them feel overwhelmed and may actually prevent them from reading God's Word. The Church already has a system in place called the Lectionary, which is a three year cycle. Ideally, if we go to Church every weekend, and also every day, we would cover the bulk of the Bible in the three year cycle. However, it is not uncommon to forget the readings that were proclaimed last weekend or last month. So, it's good to have a general knowledge or a personal system that would help us to navigate through the Bible or a particular book of the Bible. In this book, I will go through the Gospel of Matthew, and offer a system using motifs and themes that Matthew weaves throughout this Gospel account. Hopefully, it will help make this Gospel account more user-friendly, and foster a greater love of reading God's word.
The Sacrament of Baptism Workbook The Sacrament of Baptism Workbook is the result of a Baptism Class given to parents who have requested Baptism for their infants. The Workbook provides questions and answers to help individuals read or review the teachings that are outlined in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) in regards to the Sacrament of Baptism. Admittedly, the Church's teaching on the Sacrament of Baptism is rich and quite extensive, and would probably take many many hours to cover. These questions and answer format is meant to help spark an interest to learn more about the many rich teachings of the Catholic Church. For adults, the Sacrament of Baptism Workbook can be completed in about two to three hours with the help of a priest, deacon or lay minister as a guide. Parents can also use the Sacrament of Baptism Workbook to help them review the teachings of the Sacrament of Baptism, and also teach about Baptism to their children. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:18)
In this short book, I want to share with you some of the valuable lessons for ministry that I learned from Fr. Felino. Here are the 9 lessons that I learned from him. Originally, the title of this book was 10 lessons I learned from Fr. Felino. But I couldn't think of a tenth lessons, so the title had to be slightly modified. I think the experience of working with him has helped me to be a better priest. I think that it has help me become a better person. I think he will also help me be more effective in parish ministry in the future.

You might have already read other self-development books on how to increase your reading speed. The problem, though, is that they all tend to offer pretty much the same advice: Expand your vision, stop your vocals, scan, skim, and so on.
