September 1986 While Team Spearpoint's striker, Abilene, is on a routine pizza run into nearby Alexandria LA, she's overpowered and abducted. Since this is right after completing their Operation Snakebite mission - with its unpredictably high enemy body count - in the New Orleans area, the most obvious perpetrators are the KGB. For the past few days Spearpoint's strikers have been resting and recuperating at their temporary home base, Ponderosa [remote area of England AFB in Louisiana]. Abilene's seemingly simple errand - alone - was a serious breach of security and team leader Honcho should have known better. Cheyenne still has not been released to return to Team Arrowhead, neither Wichita nor Laramie have been released from their TDYs back to Spearpoint, and the badly injured Durango is presumably still recovering at Medicine Lodge. When Spearpoint's 1985 Dodge Caravan is later recovered, a message left by the kidnappers gives the team some vague clues... but it requires the efforts of Raven at Battalion HQ to help Spearpoint figure out where Abilene has been taken and why some captured Russian equipment seems so important. Someone from Battalion HQ must speed to the site to assist in the recovery of Abilene and assess any related trouble from the kidnappers. Raven insists: "Spearpoint is one of my four rapid response teams... it should be me."
The most dangerous people on Earth live in the shadows, where what you don't know usually gets you killed. Unless someone even deadlier can save you... Unaware she's carrying incriminating microfiche hidden in her borrowed purse, an innocent female CIA office worker is about to be kidnapped by the KGB, according to intercepted intelligence. During September 1986, CIA officials are searching for the mole compromising the agency's network of Soviet-bloc agents. To throw suspicion elsewhere, the mole or his handler arranges for someone else to plant partially real information about counter-spies on Lisa Fairchild, who has just flown from BWI Airport to New Orleans. Presently only monitored by the CIA, she's likely to be liquidated by them if they can't stop the kidnapping. But the Ghost Cavalry Battalion has a very different option - Team Spearpoint's new mission is to rescue Fairchild during those few minutes when she's out of reach by either extreme... and then escape with her. If they can all reach safety, they must work together to try to figure out who set her up. Fans of James Rollins, Tom Clancy, LT Vargas & Tim McBain, and Lisa Jewell should find Operation Snakebite irresistible.
How do you stop mindless hate? By any means possible. In near-future America, CIA agent Angela Martinelli faces off against the North Korea dictator Kim Jong-un's plan to bring down the United States. With no thought about how his actions might affect his allies, Kim launched a plan of nuclear and biological terrorism against the United States, and now it's up to America's over-stretched counter terrorist forces to stop the state sponsored terrorism... if they can.The first volume of The Collapse races from crisis to crisis, trailing blood across the globe. From the barbeque pits of Memphis to the deepest vaults of the Pentagon, nobody and nothing is spared. Written by a man who investigated and planned for the very threats Martinelli fights to prevent, the driving force behind this relentlessly suspenseful thriller brings a realism that is terrifying because it is all too possible. Fans of William Alan Webb's Last Brigade series may think they know what's coming, but don't count on it.
Surviving isn't living, and living isn't surviving, and in ruined Kansas City neither is guaranteed. When Jace and Pard run into the vicious Warlord of Kansas City, King KaMo, blood and death quickly follow. As cunning as he is deadly, KaMo's position is nearly unassailable, but the duo must find a way to save the lives of their friends and families from a man with no enemies strong enough to hurt him. That is, until he catches the attention of the 7th US Cavalry Brigade (Reinforced), and has to deal with members of Task Force Zombie.
In the dying days of World War Two, when the fate of nations was being decided by the triumvirate of Winston Churchill, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Josef Stalin, Hitler's Austrian homeland provided a scenic backdrop for the last stand of Army Group South.
