Kenn's grandson was born to his adopted daughter, a single mother. The boy became the son the older man never had, born when he was already in his mid-sixties. Since the boy is without a father to give him advice, Kenn-thinking he would not live long enough to pass any words of wisdom along to his grandson as he was growing up-decided to write them out instead. His primary objective is to help his grandson live the same type of life he has himself. As part of this collection, Kenn addresses, life, love, common sense, manners, morals, values, and beliefs, with a sprinkling of his own thoughts and opinions. Some of the entries are humorous, while others are more serious and thought-provoking.Things I Wanted My Grandsons to Know Before I Leave offers a heartwarming glimpse into the character and integrity of one man and into the depth of his love for his grandson.
My father was just born during the Chinese feudal dynasty was falling apart. The education he received could be both Chinese and Western, with encyclopedic knowledge and sciences. Because he studied hard and always had his own clear life creed, he finished his primary school, middle school and even college in western church schools despite of the influence of feudal family. However, he insisted on studying science and engineering, firmly believed in saving the country by industry. At the same time he did believe neither the feudal superstition nor the western dogmas. Although he lived in a social upheaval time with suffering of several wars, he still kept his life integrity, discipline, willing to teach, eager to help others. He set an excellent example for us.
Gravity is explained as a tired light recycling effect maintaining the structure of matter. It is consistent with both relativity theory and Quantum Electrodynamics. With a particular value of the Hubble Constant, the density of mass in the universe equates to nuclear density, as with the ratio of gravitational force to electromagnetic force between the proton and electron equaling the ratio of mass densities between that of the average density of the universe and the nuclear density of the hydrogen atom. The book development is consistent with the historical development of theory, which is provided in the book for more complete understanding along with explaining math according to simple algebra.
Knowing one's origin coupled with an appropriate name gives one a sense of great pride and belonging. In the United States in particular most people with African ancestry have started moving away from the traditional English names which is a clear sign that there is a yearning to associate with mother Africa. The beginning of this major shift came with the acceptance of Islam and the push for equality among the races. The names carefully chosen for this book have both reason and meaning which makes them more appropriate and precise; heredity can therefore easily be traced back a few generations through the names included in this book. The question what is in a name has been given broader and more appropriate meaning. The choice for those who are keen to give their offspring African names with meaning has been made wider and easier.
This author embarked upon life's journey from the town of Kinston, North Carolina and, at age ten, accepted the LORD JESUS CHRIST as Savior and joined the Christian community at age twelve and began hearing the Holy Spirit's still voice encouraging and guiding me into all truth. Over the years, he has faithfully kept all pledges.Sharing this testimony has undoubtedly placed me on a thrilling journey. I have attempted to be a faithful witness. To complete this affirmation, I've often put down my pen, but the Lord granted me fresh and more incredible revelations and compelled me to continue. If I had but two pearls of wisdom to offer the reader, they are these priceless lessons-always obey Father God, regardless of the critics, and remember, never again disobey His voice.
