Emma McAuliffe is a certified NLP coach who has been supporting people all over the world to self-heal from chronic conditions. Emma came to a point of desperation herself in her early 20's, after being diagnosed with a degenerative spinal condition that would leave her wheelchair bound for life. As she was already struggling with severe mental illness for most of her adult life, the diagnosis lead her down a path of willing to try anything to get some quality of life back. Her severe pain resulted in multiple hospitalizations and her disability impacted her life in many ways. She lost her job, home, mobility, independence and confidence. She was advised to avoid any situations that would likely make her condition worse, which involved leaving her career as a personal trainer and refraining from having children.Emma's world turned around when after exhausting all resources and treatment options she decided to try some new things. She promised herself she would "give it one week" and implemented the techniques for herself and found the way to healing her life, body and mind. I'll give it one week is a must read for anyone who's feeling trapped living with chronic pain and illness, as it gives the reader the hope and understanding that only a person with lived experience can provide.

Maintaining a sustainable lifestyle and following traditional values in the face of a barrage of mining and Canadian business interests is quite a challenge. This book is a comprehensive account of the history, lifestyle and values of a small Slavey Dene community in the Northwest Territories of Canada. The community is located north of the 60th parallel in the middle of the Deh Cho (Mackenzie River) Valley. It is about the history of the Dene people in attempting to maintain their traditional lifestyle and as much as possible sovereignty over their land. The Dene have a long tradition in the north dating back almost 30,000 years. These traditional people have maintained the integrity of their land by respecting what it has to offer. For the Dene life is part of the land and its maintenance is important for the future. The Dene see the land as providing for their people a spirit which became a way of life.

This book is about the deep truths that traveling reveals. It is about the characters we meet and the unknown places we discover. It is about the hardships and the ecstasies that comes with risking it all to gain what no one else can take away from you - personal growth and life experience. I hope that the book will motivate people to become a member of our travelling community, inspiring them to explore the world. I believe that the essence and truths in finding out who we really are, can only be found or at the very least excelled, by the wisdom and knowledge discovered through exploring the unknown. I have documented this through humor and a sense of realness, using an abstract analogy borrowed from the animal kingdom to set the tone. I want this book to enable and encourage people to recognise and experience their own travelling ambitions. It should manifest the urgency to compile itineraries and plan trips that will enable them to discover or rediscover their true selves. In summary this book is written for all the adventurers and should serve as a reminder that it is never too late to dream. God created this beautiful planet not for us to view from a safe distance but to experience it hands-on, meet new people, see places and make memories.

On 11 January 1965, 15-year-old best friends, Marianne Schmidt and Christine Sharrock were overwhelmed and slaughtered in the sandhills behind Sydney's Wanda Beach. Not only had the killer struck in a public area and during the summer school holiday break, but he'd done it in broad daylight. Despite the brazenness of the act, several police investigations and their ostensibly ongoing inquiries have failed to bring the killer to justice. Why did Marianne and Christine walk into the sandhills that ill-fated day? Why were they killed? How did their killer, who was almost certainly blood soaked, leave the area unseen? Why have the various police investigations failed to identify the killer? Were Marianne and Christine early victims of a 'True Crime Anti-Hero' like the vile Derek Percy, or the sadistic Christopher Wilder? Were they victims of a sexual assault gone awry, or were they the 'gateway' victims of a short-lived 'ripper-esque' killing spree in the Sydney-Wollongong corridor?

This book presents a fundamentally new and different approach to the problem: climate change, the growing gap between rich and poor, the slow decay of our democracy, etc. ... these are symptoms of a deeper crisis - one which cannot be fixed by technical measures. It is all about life and the meaning of life. We cannot wait for our leaders to act. Nobody else will do it for us! As ordinary people, citizens, workers, consumers, we have to empower ourselves; we are the main and only agents who can truly initiate the move towards change. The Solution is Simple: it is in our hands. In our daily lives we have all the necessary means to create, locally, the basic conditions for ourselves to thrive - and to put pressure on our leaders to follow us.But it is also demanding: we have to learn to think differently and invent and practise new ways to work, exchange, share and live together; we have to discover a new practice of freedom, inclusiveness and solidarity-mutuality.This book reinvents practical ways of living. It proposes a concrete strategy for change, in 40 points, how to do this here and now.It is also a guide to the search for meaning, because the change of mentality that is urgently needed can only arise from a better and deeper understanding of the meaning of life and of the laws of the universe.
