Seine Aufmerksamkeit gilt der Frage: Wie entsteht die menschliche Form?Blechschmidt schrieb und veröffentlichte ausschließlich in deutscher Sprache. Dies geschah größtenteils durch einen zweisprachigen deutsch-englischen Band, der von Karger ("Die Entwicklungsstufen des Menschen vor der Geburt", 1960) herausgegeben wurde, und durch eine außergewöhnliche Zusammenarbeit mit seinem Mitautor RF Gasser ("Biokinetik und Biodynamik der menschlichen Differenzierung", 1978) ), dass seine Arbeit teilweise einem international englischsprachigen Publikum zugänglich gemacht wurde. "Die Anfänge des menschlichen Lebens" (1977) wurde in erster Linie für die breite Öffentlichkeit geschrieben, ist aber nicht mehr gedruckt.Die Veröffentlichung von Brian Freemans Übersetzung von "Die Ontogenetische Basis der menschlichen Anatomie" (2004) trug zu einem wachsenden Interesse an Blechschmidts Ideen bei. The eight extra meridians and their uses are also covered.Diagnosis and treatment: All diagnostic methods are explained. Needling and needle sensation, needling techniques and all the extraordinary therapies - moxibustion, cupping, plum-blossom-tapping, electrical stimulation of needles and bleeding - are also covered. Over 80 common diseases and symptoms are discussed and treatment is given for different causes of the same symptom. Every case history and treatment has been illustrated with the location of the points used, so that the reader does not have to look for these anywhere else.The idea for this book was that it would make a good bedside (patient's) book for the practice of acupuncture.

Acupuncture Points and Channel Energetics (Based on Chinese Classical, Daoist oral and European traditions) - There is a gap between the known classical texts on Chinese Medicine and the variety of concepts and styles that have been transmitted and are being practiced today. Two major tendencies have dominated Chinese Medicine in the past decades, Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM) as opposed to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a term coined during the early years of Communist China. Historically, as Chinese Medicine spread to other neighbouring cultures, it further evolved, and was enriched by these inluences.
