Long before the Snow Queen's reign of terror in Seasoria, there was another maiden caught between two sides of herself.Lunae doesn't mean to reek of desperation but when she's been passed over so many times in favour of the other young women in her village, things become even more difficult. No one wants to put in the work, not with her older brother attempting to control any man who could come calling. She's heard the whispers of old maid on every corner and she knows her clock is ticking. When a traveling man sets up shop in her village, she is swept off her feet by Gray. He's so endearing, so sweet, so perfect. With her brother's disapproval looming over them and Gray's reluctance to wed, she finds herself trapped between her sense of duty and the man she knows she loves. And so, one little lie begins... Followed by another... Until she's lost crying wolf with no one who will listen. Will Lunae find the love she always dreamed of in Gray? Or will her world unravel and leave her more alone than ever?
Self-love is probably the most difficult thing for me to write about. It's not because I find it impossible to love myself, but how can one put into words what you're supposed to feel toward yourself?I hope that as you read my words, I've been able to put down what you need to feel toward yourself.Acceptance, love, healing, patience. Those are all the words you and I need to remind ourselves of in our daily lives. Never forget that.
When I first got the idea for a new collection, I pondered how to make it something that would stand out. I wanted there to be a mix of passion, breakups, and healing. And so, Heart & Soul was born. This book is about the heart of the mater. The growing passion you feel for new relationships, the familiarity of time passing together, and the realization that this is the rest of your life.My desire as you read is that you're reminded of the love you've carried through your life. Whether it has passed or is something you're living. I hope you're feeling love.
The best things I write are poems about heartbreak. It may sound strange as I think about the love in my life; however, I've lived through many heartbreaking moments. And yet, I wouldn't trade those moments. In fact, I feel endless gratitude for them. They are all I am and have made me into the person I am today.
