Das Buch beschäftigt sich mit einem in der Literaturwissenschaft nahezu vergessenen Autor des Expressionismus: Heinrich Schaefer. Der Band will die Biografie und literarische Entwicklung Heinrich Schaefers über den lückenhaft vorliegenden Faktenbefund hinaus erweitern. Er tut dies primär, um das literarische Werk Schaefers auf ein Motiv hin zu untersuchen, das in seinen Texten einen zentralen Stellenwert einnimmt ¿ das Motiv des Ekels. Dieses Ekelmotiv ist für Figurendarstellung, Dramaturgie und explizite Drastik in Schaefers Texten nicht nur Zentralmotiv, sondern in der Auslotung seiner anthropologischen und physiologischen Befunde die thematisch interessanteste Deutungslinie. Sie wird exemplarisch am Hauptwerk Heinrich Schaefers, dem zwischen 1911¿1913 entstandenen Roman Gefangenschaft, vorgestellt.

Dr. Benken¿s book is a case study of the life and death of Jan Rodowicz, nom-de-guerre Anoda, who served as a combatant in the Polish pro-independence underground resistance movement during the Second World War. The operations in which Anoda was involved, his conduct during and after the War, especially in the investigation following his arrest by the Communist security service and the mystery shrouding his death while under interrogation, turned him into a symbol for the young people of Poland in those times. His generation was forced to fight for its freedom against two criminal totalitarian systems, the Nazi Germans and the Soviets, paying with their life or health for the ideals they did not want to give up.

Zwischen 1949 und 1989 nahmen Kunstabbildungen in Lesebüchern einen gewichtigen Raum ein. Die Studie untersucht erstmals umfassend, welche Intentionen die Verantwortlichen mit den Abbildungen verfolgten, ob diese ausschließlich zur optischen Aufwertung der Bände dienten oder auch didaktische Zwecke hatten. Es wird u.a. der Frage nachgegangen, ob sich die Abbildungen im Laufe von vierzig Jahren veränderten und wie lange es dauerte, bis nach der NS-Diktatur verfemte Künstler in den Lesebüchern abgebildet wurden. Die Untersuchung zeigt, wie stark die sog. Lesebuchmacher damals noch von einem literatur- und kunstgeschichtlich verbundenen Bewusstsein geprägt waren. Erst in den 1980er Jahren erfolgte eine Neuausrichtung der Bildwahrnehmungen und des Deutschunterrichts.

Dieses Buch widmet sich der Analyse der bisher veröffentlichten Lagerkorrespondenz, sowohl der offiziellen als auch der inoffiziellen, die in Form von Sammelausgaben oder einzelnen Briefen vorliegt. Die Autorin betont dabei die hauptsächlich dokumentarische Bedeutung dieser Korrespondenz, die sich auf den Zeitraum von 1939¿1945 erstreckt. Die untersuchten Briefe wurden von polnischen Gefangenen in verschiedenen europäischen Konzentrationslagern verfasst und fungieren primär als wertvolle soziologische Quelle. Mit besonderem Augenmerk auf hermeneutische Methoden hat die Autorin diese Briefe vor allem für Philologen aufbereitet. Das zentrale Anliegen dieser Publikation besteht darin, den Lagergefangenenbrief in seinen theoretischen und praktischen Facetten zu durchleuchten und systematisch zu erfassen. Es scheint, dass der ethische Stellenwert dieser Briefe, der in den Studien zum Erbe des Zweiten Weltkriegs häufig noch unterschätzt wird, von besonderer Bedeutung ist.

Eine intensive wissenschaftliche Auseinandersetzung mit den Familiendarstellungen in den Angestelltenromanen der Weimarer Republik ist bislang nicht erfolgt. Es ist die Motivation der vorliegenden Untersuchung, einen Beitrag zum Schließen dieser Forschungslücke zu leisten. Die Leitfrage lautet, wie und mit welcher Intention die Familien und andere persönliche Beziehungen in den Romanen dargestellt werden. Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass diese Darstellungen wesentliche Funktionen innerhalb der Romane übernehmen, da die Autorinnen und Autoren mit ihrer Hilfe die prekäre Situation der Familie und der Angestellten offenlegen, beide kritisch hinterfragen und auch Zusammenhänge herstellen. Dem soziologischen bzw. literatursoziologischen Interesse der Arbeit folgend dienen kontextorientierte Methodenansätze dabei als Grundlage.

Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit der seit jeher umstrittenen Frage nach der Zulässigkeit der Vergleiche im Steuerrecht; dies im Schwerpunkt mit der gänzlich unbeantworteten Frage nach der Zulässigkeit von Vergleichen vor der Finanzgerichtsbarkeit. Das Feld für den finanzgerichtlichen Prozessvergleich ist weit. Die Möglichkeiten zur konsensualen Streitbeilegung innerhalb der Finanzgerichtsbarkeit sind, trotz der, im Vergleich zur allgemeinen Verwaltungsgerichtsbarkeit überproportional konsensual erledigten Fälle, unterausgeprägt. Unter empirischen Gesichtspunkten zeigt sich, dass einvernehmliche Verfahrensbeendigungen im finanzgerichtlichen Verfahren die Mehrheit der erledigten Fälle bilden, obschon deren rechtliche Möglichkeiten unter verfahrensvergleichenden Gesichtspunkten eingeschränkt sind. Diese Arbeit macht es sich unter anderem zum Gegenstand zu prüfen, welche nationalen und internationalen Auswirkungen die Einführung eines finanzgerichtlichen Prozessvergleichs mit sich bringt.

La gran extensión geográfica del español ha producido numerosas obras lexicográficas que se enfrentan al reto de dar respuesta a problemas derivados de la internacionalización lograda por esta lengua. Por una parte, los diccionarios bilingües aportan una perspectiva diferente para reflexionar sobre nuestro léxico y sobre cómo representarlo de forma eficaz en los diccionarios; por otra parte, dentro de los países hispanohablantes, el colorido mosaico de variedades regionales, nacionales y supranacionales suscita debates sobre la manera de tratar tamaña diversidad para conseguir una representación ecuánime para todos. En este volumen, especialistas de diferentes orígenes contrastan problemas, métodos y soluciones lexicográficas para abordar esta dimensión internacional.

Am 6. und 7. Oktober 2022 fand am Berufsbildungsinstitut Arbeit und Technik (biat) der Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF) die 22. Herbstkonferenz der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Gewerblich-Technische Wissenschaften und ihre Didaktiken (gtw) statt. Unter dem Tagungstitel ¿Dekarbonisierung, Digitalisierung, Demographie ¿ Gestaltungsanspruch für gewerblich-technische Facharbeit und Bildung" konnte die Konferenz drei nicht nur für die gewerblich-technische Facharbeit und die Berufsbildung sehr zentrale gesellschaftliche Themenstellungen aufgreifen, mit denen bereits seit geraumer Zeit und zukünftig noch wesentlich stärker ein hoher Gestaltungsanspruch einhergeht. Über dreißig Einzelbeiträge verdeutlichen in diesem Band die thematische Relevanz für die gewerblich-technischen Wissenschaften.

Die Hinzurechnungsbesteuerung ist seit 1972 eine bekannte Maßnahme des nationalen Steuerrechts, um die rein künstliche Gewinnverlagerung ins Ausland zu vermeiden. Trotz ihres stolzen Alters hat die Diskussion um die Hinzurechnungsbesteuerung infolge der Reform der nationalen Regelungen durch das ATADUmsG jüngst wieder an Fahrt aufgenommen. Der Autor befasst sich umfassend mit den Änderungen der nationalen Hinzurechnungsbesteuerung infolge des ATADUmsG. Der Fokus liegt auf den Änderungen, die sich bei Unternehmensakquisitionen ergeben. Der Arbeit liegt damit eine vergleichende Betrachtung zwischen alter und neuer Rechtslage zugrunde. Die eintretenden Änderungen werden durch diverse Handlungsalternativen anschaulich herausgearbeitet. Zudem legt der Autor dar, ob und inwiefern die nationalen Regelungen den sekundärrechtlichen Vorgaben der ATAD genügen oder gar über diese hinausgehen.

Este volumen parte del extraordinario conocimiento generado en los últimos años para facilitar y mejorar la enseñanza de la gramática tanto a estudiantes nativos como a no nativos, y se alinea, en concreto, con el desarrollo de la Gramática Orientada a las Competencias (GROC) y con la aplicación de principios de la lingüística cognitiva en el ámbito del Español como Lengua Extranjera (ELE). El estudio se acota a las relaciones que se producen en las estructuras ditransitivas, especialmente con verbos de transferencia y trayectoria. La exploración de dichas relaciones deriva en la elaboración de materiales y herramientas para que el análisis del lenguaje resulte de utilidad, con el propósito de dotar a los estudiantes de un conocimiento gramatical significativo y operativo.

This book presents itself as a new transformative-emancipatory path: it attempts to reconcile the sphere of humanity, and particularly that of dignity, with the dimensions of conscience, vulnerability, and identity. These dimensions cross several cultural boundaries and encompass various theoretical hypotheses, in line with certain critical ontologies.Present society highlights increasing levels of inequality. Ethics should try to create constructivist bridges, which the author shows by a meta-ontological model, described in its «centripetal» inclination.If we do not respect ourselves, others, and the environment that hosts us, we will never be able to define ourselves as «human» beings, that is, beings endowed with «dignity». Any responsibility makes sense to the extent that this respect ¿ which we could include in the category of «taking care» ¿ constitutes the epistemological background of ethical lives.

Diese Studie beschäftigt sich mit den Werken und Lebenserfahrungen von zugewanderten Autorinnen und Autoren, die in der deutschen Schweiz ansässig sind. Im ersten Teil der Untersuchung werden verschiedene Themen wie kulturelle Identität, sprachliche Zugehörigkeit, postkoloniale Literaturkritik, autobiografisches Schreiben, Erinnerungskultur und die Darstellung von Räumen in den Erzählungen der Migrationsliteratur beleuchtet. Der zweite Teil der Studie widmet sich der Analyse von zehn Romanen, die nach 2000 veröffentlicht wurden. Hier steht vor allem die erinnerungsorientierte, interkulturelle Literatur im Fokus, geschrieben von Autorinnen und Autoren, die nicht aus der Schweiz stammen, oder von Personen, die als ¿Secondos¿ und ¿Secondas¿ in der Gesellschaft wahrgenommen werden. Das Ziel ist es, sich diesen literarischen Werken anzunähern und ihre Bedeutung zu erforschen.

La obra nace en el marco del proyecto Discurso institucional e imagen de la mujer: impacto comunicativo y social en Andalucía (US-1381061) y aborda la representación que se hace de la mujer en el discurso de las instituciones en el ámbito hispánico y sus implicaciones sociales. Los trabajos que la conforman abordan los niveles implicados en la producción discursiva: lingüístico, psicosocial, comunicativo y sociocultural, partiendo de la idea de que el imaginario social se crea y fija a través del discurso. Se denuncian los sesgos discriminatorios que se mantienen, dificultando el camino hacia la igualdad real y efectiva entre hombres y mujeres. Esta obra contribuye a evidenciar la necesidad de seguir investigando en las estrategias comunicativas como instrumento de cambio social.

In the second half of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century, nearly one-third of the population of today¿s Slovenia permanently settled in countries around the world. Many more were traveling back and forth, searching for work to ensure the survival of the family members left behind at home and the prosperity for the families and communities they were creating abroad. From one of the smallest nations in Europe, barely reaching one and a half million inhabitants at the time, people departed in numbers reaching 440,000. This book tells their stories, about the "daring dreams of the future," as the Slovenian poet Oton ¿upanc¿ic¿¿whose words open the book¿so beautifully put it. The people who left took recipes for their foods, accordions for their music, and love for their culture and language, which was, and has remained, a linguistic island between Vienna and Venice. In their new communities, they built homes, churches, and cultural institutions that have survived until today.

Am 25.05.2018 ist die europäische Datenschutz-Grundverordnung (DSGVO) in Kraft getreten. Mit Artikel 15 DSGVO wurde ein Auskunftsrecht für betroffene Personen hinsichtlich der sie betreffenden personenbezogenen Daten, welche durch einen Verantwortlichen verarbeitet werden, eingeführt. Bereits kurze Zeit nach Inkrafttreten der DSGVO entstanden ¿ insbesondere auch im arbeitsrechtlichen Kontext ¿ grundsätzliche Fragestellungen zur rechtlichen Reichweite und praktischen Umsetzung des Auskunftsrechts nach Art. 15 DSGVO. Unter Heranziehung der aktuell existierenden Rechtsprechung sowie Meinungen innerhalb der juristischen Literatur setzt sich der Autor vertieft mit diesen grundsätzlichen Fragestellungen auseinander. Ziel des Autors war es hierbei, die juristische Methodik mit stetigem Blick auf eine praxisfreundliche Lösungsfindung anzuwenden.

Die in Mittel-, Ost- und Südosteuropa wahrnehmbaren arbeitsmarktorientierten Anforderungen verweisen auf den Mehrwert von Deutsch als Berufs- und Fachsprache in dieser Region. Der Band verdeutlicht aus der Sicht eines dynamischen Arbeitsmarktes und der gesteigerten Nachfrage nach deutschsprechenden Fachkräften, wie fach- und berufsbezogenes (Sprach-)Wissen in der universitären Ausbildung in den vertretenen Ländern trainiert werden kann und welche Herausforderungen länderübergreifend auftreten. Este ensayo trata de profundizar en la presencia de la mujer en diferentes manifestaciones artísticas (literatura y cine, fundamentalmente) durante los siglos XX y XXI desde una perspectiva transatlántica, para valorar en qué medida la evolución sobre los roles de género transmitidos por la literatura y el cine dan cuenta de los procesos de cambio social respecto a la mujer contemporánea. El proyecto ha contribuido así a empezar a elaborar una cartografía de la imagen de la mujer de los siglos XX y XXI en la literatura y el cine del ámbito hispánico y avanzar, por tanto, en la recuperación de las voces artísticas de mujeres contemporáneas. Después de seleccionar un corpus de cincuenta obras literarias escritas en los siglos XX y XXI que tienen como protagonista a un personaje femenino o consideran a la mujer como eje temático principal, se han estudiado los diferentes modelos femeninos presentes en diez obras literarias y sus adaptaciones audiovisuales, junto con los criterios que determinan la presencia de dichos modelos.

This book explores the evolution of sentiment in economic terms in the press during financial crises applying a combination of sentiment analysis techniques and usage fluctuation analysis on a diachronic corpus derived from editorials in quality newspapers during the Great Recession. The book uncovers two key findings: first, certain economic terms become event words during times of crisis due to their increased use in the press and the general public, revealing rapid semantic changes in economic terms caused by major socio-economic events. Second, sentiment-laden collocations are found to be influenced by culture, highlighting language¿s adaptability to financial upheavals. This work proposes an innovative methodology that combines lexicon-based Sentiment Analysis, Corpus Linguistics, and qualitative Discourse Analysis to shed light on how language shapes economic discourse, making it a valuable resource for scholars exploring the relationship between language and historic events.

El presente volumen contiene una edición contrastada y anotada en letras latinas de las cuatro adaptaciones sefardíes de Robinson Crusoe. La edición de textos va precedida por un estudio preliminar que abarca una breve introducción a la narrativa sefardí moderna en la que se comentan los comienzos de la literatura secular en judeoespañol. A continuación, se presentan las ediciones judías de Robinson Crusoe, esto es, las adaptaciones asquenazíes en yídish y en hebreo, y las sefardíes en judeoespañol. La obra se completa con un estudio comparativo lingüístico-literario que se centra en la judaización de los textos y su adaptación para el público sefardí, haciendo hincapié también en los fenómenos lingüísticos derivados del hecho de tratarse de la traducción de un original.

This volume examines the potentially deleterious impact of place branding on the social fabric, ecosystems and local economies of the places concerned. As the different essays show, place branding is a fundamentally political practice, often driven by hidden agendas that marginalize certain groups within society. Contributors explore place branding from a wide variety of angles, including: the role played by the visual arts in city branding; the applied arts, and speci cally the fashion industry¿s potential for shaping perceptions of a particular place; the different ways in which sport has been exploited by the political elites; the role of design in place branding, including the architectural design of sports stadia; and the potentially insidious economic and societal consequences of excessive consumption of branded places.

En esta investigación se toman como objeto de estudio determinadas estructurassintácticas propias del español coloquial que aparecen en intervenciones reactivas y ocupan el mismo hueco funcional que los operadores modales de negación del español. Desde un punto de vista estructural, estas expresiones se originan a partir de oraciones completas (¿estamos locos?, anda yä) y a partir de sintagmas de distinto tipo que, en contextos reactivos, conforman enunciados independientes (ni de coña, un carajö).A pesar de que el contenido que portan estas unidades es fundamentalmente modal, también actúan en otros planos de la macroestructura textual, relacionados con el compromiso enunciativo del hablante o con su intencionalidad en cuanto al interlocutor, teniendo en consideración sus implicaciones argumentativas e informativas. Con el objetivo de realizar un análisis que dé cuenta de su multidimensionalidad, partimos de los presupuestos teóricos de la Macrosintaxis, desarrollada desde la Lingüística Pragmática.Esta investigación nos permite observar la lengua viva y documentar cómo esta se enriquece debido a la creatividad de los hablantes, en función de sus necesidades expresivas.

Ezekiel has often been called ¿the prophet of the spirit¿ because of his surpassing use of the word ¿¿¿, ¿spirit¿. The main argument of this book is that Ezekiel¿s ¿spirit¿ motif conveys a polysemous symbolism which, nonetheless, accentuates an overarching leitmotiv. Ezekiel¿s ¿spirit¿ symbolism signifies a paradigm shift in ancient Israelite visualization of divine presence in Israel: from visible phenomena and experiences, mediated through rituals at cultic shrines in Israel, to an omnipresence that is not necessarily mediated through cultus. Moreover, author Samuel W. Muindi posits that the African Pentecostal ¿en-spirited¿ worldview is an apt hermeneutical lens for understanding Ezekielian ¿spirit¿ symbolism. The experiences of the Ezekielian exilic community prefigure dynamic equivalents in African communities. As such, Ezekielian ¿spirit¿ symbolism critically informs the African Pentecostal ¿en-spirited¿ worldview while the latter illumines Ezekielian ¿spirit¿ symbolism.This book is aimed at students of Biblical theology and others who wish to enrich their understanding of hermeneutics as well as Biblical pneumatology as an ¿en-spirited¿ worldview.

Die Ausgestaltung des Annahmeverfahrens für Verfassungsbeschwerden muss die Gewährung effektiven Grundrechtsschutzes einerseits und die begrenzten Entscheidungskapazitäten des Verfassungsgerichts andererseits in Einklang bringen. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird aufgezeigt, welche materiellen und prozessualen Regelungen beim Bundesverfassungsgericht und beim US Supreme Court den Zugang zur Verfassungsgerichtsbarkeit steuern. Unter Berücksichtigung eines prozeduralen Überprüfungsansatzes und demokratietheoretischer Erwägungen wird anschließend das Modell eines deliberativen Annahmeverfahrens entwickelt, das die verfassungsgerichtlichen Ressourcen bestmöglich nutzt. Wesentliche Elemente des Verfahrens sind insbesondere die Zuständigkeit des Senats, die Annahme nach Ermessen anhand der verfassungsrechtlichen Relevanz, die Möglichkeit zur Veröffentlichung von Sondervoten sowie besondere Anforderungen an die Formulierung des Beschwerdeantrags nach dem Vorbild der Questions Presented im Writ of Certiorari-Verfahren des US Supreme Court.

Toute perception paysagère a tendance à dissocier les composantes physiques de ses résonances existentielles et symboliques. Nonobstant, peut-on penser autrement les paysages méditerranéens¿et s¿affranchir de ce dualisme omniprésent dans la pensée occidentale¿? Autrement dit, peut-on considérer quelques paysages de l¿eau qualifiés de méditerranéens comme un objet global¿? En interrogeant de façon holistique ces quelques espaces «¿en trompe l¿¿il¿», ce volume étudie les manières dont ces lieux hydriques sont conditionnés par leur environnement culturel et symbolique. Dès lors, c¿est grâce au rôle joué par la mémoire et par l¿invariance thématique que la réalité paysagère ici analysée peut être singularisée en géographie affective, en matrice archétypale, en «¿pensée-paysage méditerranéenne¿».
