Becoming the Iceman - 10th Anniversary EditionFor generations, we've been taught to fear the cold... And while there are consequences to extreme cold exposure, with proper training, anyone can thrive in the cold and learn the lessons it has to teach. You may recognize Wim Hof from TV specials or YouTube clips; you might have seen him running barefoot above the Arctic Circle or swimming in ice-cold waters. While performing these incredible feats, Wim remained warm, comfortable, and centered, establishing himself as epitome of what is possible when someone uses the cold as a tool to train their body. Scientists became fascinated with Wim -- was he a genetic anomaly, the proof of evolution, or something else entirely? Well, in fall of 2009, college student Justin Rosales decided to follow in Wim's footsteps to discover if he, too, could conquer the cold. In this dual-perspective autobiography, Justin and Wim's lives intersect as they share their journeys and methods for becoming Icemen -- and prove that it's possible for you, too.More Information: BecomingTheIceman.com

The return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is drawing near. Jesus warned us to be ready and watching so that day does not catch us unaware. Preceding Jesus return will be a time of great tribulation. At the end of that tribulation period Christ will return, gathering His Children and pouring His wrath upon those who are destroying the earth. A popular theory emerged in about 1830 that postulated that the church would be raptured before the time of tribulation. The doctrine of a pre-tribulation rapture has permeated the culture of the American church embedding itself in church doctrine. To simply address this issue by highlighting the clear reading of Scripture is not sufficient for many people. Examine with me the pre-tribulation rapture theory. Is it sound doctrine or myth? What does the Scripture say? Bob Gunderson was born in 1952 to Joel and Arlene Gunderson. His father was a minister and he was raised in church from the time of my birth. Early in his life he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Shy and reclusive by nature he had a tendence to avoid situations that placed him in front of people. So, it was with reluctantly that he accepted God's call to on his life to teach. The desire to share the knowledge of Scripture that he had been privileged to learn through his dad's ministry and study of the Word compel him to speak and write. For years he has taught adult Sunday School classes. Now retired from his occupations in carpentry, logging, and oil refining he has written three books. The author traces his "checkered past" from his Iowa roots to West Point graduation and military service in Vietnam, then for almost ten years reporting on Asia from locations such as the China-Vietnam border; the Killing Fields inside Cambodia; the assassination of Indira Gandhi; to the last years of the Marcos regime in Manila, and many others. His major life change occurred during a midlife crisis in 1988 when confronted like the prophet Isaiah of "living among a people of unclean lips" and being challenged to answer the questions: "Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?" Like Isaiah, Dave also responded, "Here am I. Send me." His memoir combines international work and diplomatic assignments with his faith witness as a lay preacher and taking part in related ministries. Readers will discover his formula for great relationships that mesh with personal growth from many dramatic encounters in his unique Christian walk. On the way to the Promised Land. Dave began sharpening his writing craft with required essays at West Point; his military assignment in Thailand on communist insurgencies in Asia; his staff work years later supporting principals in the Department of Defense - bookends to nearly a decade as a foreign reporter for CBS News, Newsweek magazine, and the British Broadcasting Corporation. He likes the late James Michener for his historical novels and the late Og Mandino for The Greatest Miracle in the World, containing the priceless "God Memorandum". Dave lives in northern Virginia with his lovely wife Vasana and their two grown children and charming granddaughters "(The Next) Queen Elizabeth" and "Princess Charlotte" living nearby.

As you read this book, you will receive God's impartation of "Holy Spirit Lead Power" that will drive out fear and intimidation; enabling you to "Walk in Big Shoes" and positively imprint our world because.... "You Serve a Big God".
Embracing my citizenship in the kingdom of God, meant walking through a period of discipleship. As a new creation and joint heir with Christ, you will be establishing this knowledge as well and embracing your identity as the righteousness of God. The goal of this book is to help you maximize your spiritual potential by developing new behavioral characteristics. Strong discipleship development is crucial at first because it helps establish strong roots in our relationship and walk with the Lord. There is still much to accomplish in advancing the message of his kingdom globally. There are strong biblical mandates governing what it means to successfully walk in the footsteps of Christ. God's kingdom should be as real on earth as it is in heaven and, as ambassadors for Christ, we should be going into all the world making disciples, and winning people to the kingdom of God. Our privilege as "kingdom runners" is to be fruitful and multiply as sons and daughters of God, replenishing the earth's environment by exercising dominion in it. A Kingdom Perspective, simply put, is about seeing life as God sees it, not as the world sees it. When we learn to look at challenges, hardships, and the work of the ministry the same way our Heavenly Father does, it allows us to work with Him in everything we encounter. As we learn to do that, we grow closer to Him as we listen, discern, and follow His direction. This allows us to face life head on as we operate in His strength and not our own. Throughout these pages we will learn to see life clearly from a Kingdom Perspective, based on biblical principle, life experience, and the Lord's guidance and direction. The ultimate goal for this book is to help you, the reader, grow closer to God through your personal relationship with Him. Let's get started! God's loving Spirit has graced you with the Gift of Hospitality. Are you using it? The two Greek words for hospitality used in the New Testament are philoxenos and philoxenia. Both mean loving strangers as family members. This is easy to understand, but almost impossible to implement without God's help. The practice of hospitality is about learning to love strangers with God's help. His church can grow in meaningful ways if we would follow this "practice." However, it will cease to grow if we forget this important tool. I know I need more practice. How about you? "Can you imagine the impact you and your church would have for God's Kingdom if you only used your Gift of Hospitality? Annie's amazing testimony and this book will inspire and equip you and your church to spread Jesus' love throughout your community. Read it and just do it!" - Dr. Larry Keefauver, Bestselling Author and International Teacher Annie McCune grew up in Western New York. I thank God for the words he gives me when I began to write. They always come from my heart and soul. My poems are from life experiences of myself, family and friends. Sometimes my Spirit wakes me up early in the morning, which causes me to write. I can watch a movie, listen to others talk and brainstorm title for my poetry. I research the subject of my poetry. Remember age is only a number. Never give up on your dreams. What God has for you, is for you. Keep Him first in your life. His blessing will always overflow. Dear Reader, On March 30th, 2005 I had a brain aneurysm, when I woke up I realized that GOD had given me a second chance at life, as I heal I had the ability to literally write poetry. 14 years later February 19th 2019 they found another aneurysm. The doctors were able to take care of it.and told me it had touched the creative side of my brain. This calls me to be more creative with my poems. As you read my poems may they bring you true inspiration. When I begin to write I thank GOD for the words he has given me to say and to let them always come from my heart and soul.

It was 1960 in Rome. John XXIII was just named Pope and a Council was coming. Change was the buzz word. The push was on to bring the Medieval ecclesiastical edifice in line with the fast evolving world. Latin was archaic and so was chastity. Church morality was outdated. A Council all seemed plausible until three clerics showed up and hammered away at its fallacies. They called its validity crowd pleasing. Paul Taunton, a cleric from the States, leads a cast of clerics in a refutation of a Council to nowhere. He gives a sterling performance as a young priest who argues the truth brilliantly with the Master's words. A reporter named Margot Dubois from the French journal Le Monde joins the fray and brings three Prophets' voices into the resisting halls of the Vatican. It all happens backstage behind the big Bronze Doors.
Christians are familiar with war in the world. National and international media account for them as they broadcast the news from "around the world." Most often personal assumptions void significant revelation that the conflict is evil against good. Evil always seeks to dominate anything that projects goodness. Especially if it is Christian good! Yet, the Lord outlines the way for Christians to stand, to fight against these attempts and their smear campaign to nullify your Christianity. This book reviews the faith of three Biblical known individuals whose life shows the worth of standing, fighting against the devil's suggestions. Daniel Blanton founded and pastors, with his wife Emily, the Victorious Living Chapel in Columbus, Georgia. Their vision is to identify, equip, and release believers in ministry gifts and callings. Their passion to minister the "fullness of the Godhead bodily" in the Church is constantly evident in their lives. They work in hope for a united Church of Jews and Gentiles according to Ephesians 2:11-22. Daniel moves in the Spirit of order and excellence challenging disciples to move to their next level of spiritual competence. As an apostle of YAHshua, he is fearless in releasing the Truth of God. Hundreds have been touched and changed by his ministry of Victorious Living.
This is a survivor's story of a 69-year-old poet, that has had a lifetime of physical, emotional sexual abuse that lead to multiple addictions. An unsettling childhood and difficult marriages has been the catalyst for my writing, which has been cathartic and revitalizing for me. Having survived many emotional breaks with multiple suicide attempts, I've found true happiness. With Christ in my life, everything has changed for the better. In my experience, no matter how difficult life got, there was an answer of hope love and joy. As I understand how little control I have over others and once I accepted this, life has been happier and healthier. Stumbling through life feeling dejected, worthless and used, truly from the pits of despair to the loving arms of Christ. Often, I have performed in many open mics and poetry slams in Baltimore and surrounding areas with much success. As I go through the darkness of a tumultuous life, I weave poetry throughout, which helps explain where my emotions were at that time. Writing always helped me get through the tough times. Also, it helps me explain the joy I have found in Christ. This book is a commentary on how the mental health industry failed in providing adequate care. Finding a good therapist, helped me get to the root cause of my trauma, which has been key to my success. In my humble example, happiness can only be realized when in the loving arms of Christ. This book is a labor of love, love of poetry and the many friends and witnesses throughout my life. It is my stance against the abusers (which I almost became one), the bullies and those that ridicule. This is my testimony of the love of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
The Gospel According to Saint Baby Boomer is a tongue in cheek way of describing how I, as a woman born in the generation after World War II came to be able to proclaim my faith in Jesus Christ. This book is collection of personal reflections, memories, contemplation on scripture, and discussions about faith issues concerning the baby boomer generation. All of the offerings included in the volume were either shared online in blogs, or sent as messages to friends and family members as journal entries when I was overseas in mission. There are also memories of earlier times when I was an Air Force officer. Many of the reflections were written after deliberately going out into nature to spend time aside with the Lord. The Gospel According to Saint Baby Boomer sharing all of these offerings to encourage people to seek a deeper relationship with God in Jesus Christ. Kathleen Ware Harris, D. Jesus gave every believer a command to be witnesses. God has continued his miracles, signs, and wonders but few people have tapped into them. A lack of exposure to these things stiffle the Christian walk. When we experience these things we must share them with others. Then our daily lives will change as we put Jesus first. If we share these experiences we have and put all the pieces together like a puzzle, we will begin to know more about our wonderful God. Peggy Snyder is a new author who currently resides in California. Growing up homeless but not realizing it, because her parents never stayed any place longer than the amount of time it took to harvest that farmer's crop. Gifts of the Spirit were normal and consistent in the church where she grew up, but the audible word of God, calling "Go and preach my word" started her tour with God. Seeing miracles as they went, she and her husband evangelized in California, Oregon and Texas. Many years of great things happening, was quite a start for two ordinary servants of God. The miracles continued as they pastored in Bakersfield, Ca, for 32 years. Now they minister in churches, calling the normal church to join the crowd of Pushing the Envelope for Jesus.
Discovery on the Kathmandu Trail is the story of a young man's adventures through Europe and Asia in search of peace and enlightenment. Restless and dissatisfied in the spiritual bankruptcy of the opulent West, the author embarks on a journey to the oriental lands of mythical serenity and illumination, while attempting to stifle metaphysical anguish with the help of hallucinogenic drugs. Through numerous episodes across sixteen countries, his tale is a modern pilgrimage --a chronicle of one traveler's growing awareness of the providential hand of Him who guides all true seekers to the Great Discovery. Marc was born in 1953 in a French-Canadian Roman Catholic milieu in Woonsocket, Rhode Island where he graduated from high school. After getting involved in hallucinogenic drugs and Oriental mysticism at Georgetown University in 1972, he hitchhiked across Europe and stumbled on Francis Schaeffer's L'Abri Fellowship in Switzerland where his Zen Buddhist convictions were shaken by Os Guinness. He continued on to India where, in April of 1973 in Benares, the Lord dragged him into the Kingdom. Marc settled in France in 1973 where, after a year of preliminary language study at the Sorbonne in Paris, he enrolled at the Reformed Seminary in Aix-en-Provence where he met his wife Aline. They were married in March of 1978 and have been blessed with three children, Calix (1980), Justin (1982), and Anaïs (1984). Marc and Aline worked in France until 1997. His second book, "God Still Loves the French" (2006), is an anecdotal account of some of their experiences in the land of Calvin.
