Scattered Gems is a book of Prose and Poetry, with Faithfulness to Jesus Christ being its Foundation. The Christian life brings joy when it is triumphant two directions: Having personal assurance of salvation and also, contributing to America's Historic calling as a Nation. This Book takes us from David's nephew Warren Pett and his wife Donna, martyred in Africa as missionaries; the Book adds contributions from Americans Patriots, Washington, Madison, Ben Franklin, and more. It also includes bits of wisdom from others that also support the idea that America is a Christian Republic. This Book gives us glimpses into the lives of Longfellow, Bonhoeffer, Tozer, and Phillis Wheatley, America's first honored black poet. We also find poems by our Author, plus Reginald Heber's 1812 song expressing the possibility of Victory - in both Life and in death. David Pett was born into a Bible-believing Lutheran farm family in Sothern Wisconsin. He was a typical youth, unconcerned with spiritual matters, but at age 17 he was suddenly Born Again by faith in Jesus. After a period of time in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he was released early to attend St. Paul Bible College [now Crown College]. After earning a BA Degree in Bible, David pastored several Alliance churches. In addition to pastoring, his interests included music, history, and poetry, each of these pertaining to America's culture. In his final church prior to retirement, David wrote two Christian History Manuals, wrote and edited a monthly newspaper called The Bridge, as well as writing many poems and songs, all with a commitment to serve and honor Jesus Christ.

Through their storytelling, they hope to inspire young readers to develop the same passion for books.
Many people have a problem reconciling the differences found in the first chapters of Genesis of the Christian Bible with the definitive scientific proof of the origin of Life and Evolution. This book explains that there is not a conflict but a beautiful melding of the Biblical Genesis Creation and the scientifically supported Theory of Evolution. Instead of a conflict, this book explains how both Genesis and Evolution compliment each other in a beautiful manner and shows the Greatness of God, who created the Universe, the Earth, and Mankind. This book is considered a conspiracy novel, or is it? I will let you decide what you believe right or wrong. The Nanny State has become part of the fabric of the American landscape. The Patriot Act gave the government all the assets to spy on you, listen to you, and now it has weaponized the Judiciary. Doing what is right will now have a cost, the term Domestic Terrorism doesn't refer to some bearded homeless person with a bad attitude, it refers to you as a parent! The government has capitalized on the fact your lives are so busy you do not even take time to review you daily events. The Machine has figured out, because of 'Information Overload", that you are not going to take the time to look beyond the next 24 hours in your lives to question what they are doing. Gregory Walsh has experienced a broad-spectrum of career opportunities. He spent years working with surgical teams in operating rooms supplying them with the tools they need to perform as many as 26 various operations a day. The U.S. Navy trained him in the field of optical attack systems where he modified fighter aircraft optical attack systems and performed first article acceptance tests. He designed, developed, and implemented multiple optical alignment tools and procedures for the submarine and surface fleets. He traveled around the world devising Safety and Environmental solutions for the Department of Defense. His early biographical record is listed in Who's Who in Science and Engineering. He is a graduate of the United States Naval War College with a Masters in National Security. On the lighter side, this book is his attempt at Irish storytelling, or is it?

After he coded, he was confirmed dead for over six minutes. We prayed, we believed and we received the miracle as Karl arose from the dead. The enemy tried to shake our faith, but what he didn't know was that all his nefarious plots would have been foiled, as our faith in God grew to greater leaps and bounds. "For we know that all things shall work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28) In every situation, God always has the final say. The topic of God being a subject of seemingly infinite valid points of discussion, this volume offers yet another pertinent perspective - a dispensational view of God's work involving humanity, emphasizing its chronology "from everlasting to everlasting." Through poignant biblical storylines, the author constructs an informative, thought-provoking commentary and chronological survey of Scripture detailing the Divine human undertaking. Within this framework, he presents instructive insights and analyses on a range of topics, from historically controversial theological issues to present-day religious practices, making this volume a worthy biblical companion for lay people and scholars alike. The author achieves his aims in an inviting story-telling fashion that is complemented by his use of the reverential and poetic King James translation. In the darkest moments, when it seems like there is no hope to be found, God will never fail to guide you to His light, revealing His miraculous power. For Richard P. Flores, the Lord did just this and much more. After his wife had been suffering from what only seemed to be troublesome flu-like symptoms, it soon became clear that she was about to endure something far worse than they could have ever imagined. She was diagnosed with the globally feared COVID-19 virus and was rushed to the hospital, by ambulance, for her severely low oxygen levels. Meanwhile, Richard and their daughter, who were both in California at the time, had to start their grueling thirty-hour journey home, praying like never before and asking God for a miracle. Richard tells the story of his wife's deteriorating physical and mental health while being in the ICU. His prayers and spiritual strength never wavered through his wife's battle with COVID-19, and his unconditional faith in God, along with the support from his loved ones, proved to be the cure for his wife. Even when doctors believed she would not make it another day, the glory of God beamed over her. Through real pictures and personal accounts, Richard confirms that His mighty hands are always working to do the impossible. Richard P. Flores was inspired to write this book when he heard God's voice and knew that he had to share how God's magnificent love and grace touched him and his family's lives. He wants to share the overwhelming blessings and miracles he has had in his life to show others that, through believing in Him and His will, all things are possible.

During the 2003 Iraq War invasion called Operation Iraqi Freedom, the 3D Infantry Division led the effort starting March 19, 2003. They pushed three days straight into the fight to take Baghdad with major combat operations lasting several months. 3D Infantry Division's 1st Brigade, the main effort, was supported by the 126th Forward Surgical Team known as "Phantom FaST". This is a story about a newly married bride and her husband, a young officer in "Phantom FaST", trying to make sense of war and separation. During the initial combat phase, there were no methods of communication other than good old letter writing like veterans of past wars. This book is a compilation of those letters and is a story about LOVE shared, the effects of WAR, and the FAITH to survive.
David Griffith, chaplain and surgeon in the Continental Army, counted Washington and Lafayette as friends. While rector of Christ Church in Alexandria, he played a significant role organizing the Virginia and national Episcopal Church. His daughter Sally held the family together, raising two generations of orphaned children. She also owned and rented out enslaved "servants." Her brother Llewellyn, a judge in Louisiana, requested that property he was purchasing be paid for in "young likely negroes." Sally's great niece Sallie married Alfred Randolph, Episcopal chaplain to Confederate troops and later first Bishop of the Diocese of Southern Virginia. Four of their brothers fought for the South. Two became priests. Were these people patriotic Americans, traitors, devout Christians, evil enslavers, or a mixture? Their own words tell their story.
Kingdom Environment gives us a first-hand account of what happens when we honor and glorify God in our prayers and have obedience to His Word. Most of us have no problem praying for things that we desire from the Lord, but when it comes to obeying and giving God the praise and honor that He truly deserves, we fall short. Jesus paints a picture of an angelic environment (the kingdom) (Mat. 6:6-10) where God is in the center, where nothing is missing, nothing is broken, nothing is out of place; a place where God rules and reigns. A kingdom environment helps us to see things from a kingdom perspective more so than praying our desires; it's praying the Father's desires, and it creates a kingdom environment. And that is when God's will in Heaven is accomplished in the earth. Rudolph McLaughlin was born on April 6, 1953 in Baltimore Maryland.
