Today I see clearly what a wonderful and incredibly beautiful life I have been given; so many experiences with so many people of such diverse goodness. In gratitude for all lives who have touched mine, I want to share with you glimpses of them and their goodness, magic and miracles. I hope the songs, poems and my life's journey, which I felt divinely led to capture, contains for you the reader the beautiful nature and goodness I have experienced. It is my hope that some of these writings, as I traveled through loves and losses and love again, may bring comfort or new and different insights to those who read them. My prayer today is that God helps me in my autumn years to paint their portraits, write their songs and do justice to the gift of their lives touching and enriching mine.
Our experiences in NE Florida with fishing and boating, the daily changes of weather on the water and the vast array of natural neighbors such as limpkin, otter, bobcat, eagle, osprey, deer, turkey, turtles, alligators and other animals too numerous to mention provided us daily lessons and a lifetime of treasured memories. This workbook was designed to help those who have not had such an experience to become better acquainted with the natural treasures of the NE Florida area. By becoming more familiar with these treasures we can become more appreciative of their values.
The life story of James Roosevelt Stockton Jr., Adventurer, Outdoorsman, Entrepreneur, Developer and Renaissance Man.
This book chronicles the dramatic, true story of the five Saxon siblings and their determined efforts to grow into productive, caring citizens, able to compete with the best of them despite their rough start in life. It is also the story of children born into abject poverty, torn apart by circumstances beyond their control, and joyfully reunited many decades later.
Born into a family of pioneering visionaries who helped shape the history of America, W. Scott McLucas, II., grew up the privileged namesake of a prominent Midwest banking mogul. While the nation reeled from the Great Depression and the Second World War, young Scott received the finest private school education and lived in the lap of luxury until, in his senior year at Yale, he was faced with a life-and-death decision that would haunt him for more than three decades. Journey with Scott as he fulfills his duty to his country, pursues a career in advertising, broadcasting, film-making, and theater production, and travels the world, all the while in the grip of a death threat calculated to destroy him. And, finally, celebrate with Scott as he spends the past three decades with the woman he loves by his side and One World Foundation, Inc. as his far-reaching philanthropic arm. Following in the footsteps of his pioneering ancestors, W. Scott McLucas has discovered creative joy in supporting the fields of art, education, Pulitzer-prize winning dance and drama, and environmental preservation.
