The book includes 13 familiar songs in the public domain like "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Old MacDonald Had a Farm." The idea of achieving a song-making experience that is very easy for children is rooted in the hope that when children hear themselves creating the sounds of popular songs, they will gain confidence and foster a love for music-making that can spur them on to playing music successfully and achieving in other areas later on in life.
