Bag om Franklin, C: Children of the Forgotten
In the year 2280, scientists created a miracle drug called, Alphandovir. It was the cure for every disease and ailment known to man. Doctors called it, "The Alpha and Omega."-The first and last vaccine a human would ever need.
After a rushed trial, the world stood in line to receive their series of four doses. The human body fought back, though. The vaccine did the exact opposite of what it was supposed to do, and it morphed into the fastest killing epidemic mankind has ever seen.
World leaders blamed each other. War became inevitable.
It was the Great War.
Nations wiped out nations. Billions died. After the dust settled, what the Sickness hadn't killed, nuclear war had. Only a few remained. There was no more technology. No more weapons. Those who were left, survived the only way they knew how. They grew their own food, forged their own weapons, and rebuilt what they could.
Mankind lived in peace. For a while.
Where there is man, there will always be struggle. One will always seek to take from another. And, people had changed. Nuclear war, combined with the effects of Alphandovir, created mutations in some humans and animals. Some grew large. Others developed strange powers.
As the years passed, one faction of people sought to seclude themselves, in order to escape the evil that still remained in the world. Hundreds of them traveled far, into the middle of an almost endless range of mountains. There, they found an abandoned city, and they settled.
They were some of the last good people left on Earth, hoping to live in peace for as long as they could.
They were The Children of the Forgotten.
This is their story.
