Bag om INFERNO - Burning the Bridges Behind Us: A Seven Year Retrospective - foreword by Dr. Debra Miller
Inferno Newspaper began life as a conspiratorial conversation in the back room of a neighborhood bar in the winter of 2002. The first issue ran off the presses in spring of 2003. The paper caused controversy from the very first edition. There was no middle ground; people either loved it or they hated it. We gathered some of the brightest talent in the south Jersey and Philadelphia region to contribute gratis. We received accolades from New York and Washington for our content and wit. Working on a shoestring budget, every issue was at risk of being our last. This book is a recap of our first seven years, with some of our best articles, best humor pieces, best art and best covers. Publisher and writer Carl B. Johnson contributes a new running commentary throughout, taking the reader on a journey of the rise and fall of an underground arts newspaper. Interspersed with some of the best articles, Carl leads you into the quagmire of local politics and puritanism that fueled and inspired the inferno that was INFERNO.
