Commemorating the life of a WWII veteran, "Legacy of Love" was initially written about LaVerne McIntyre, author Dennis McIntyre's father. The horror seen at Normandy and two purple hearts left him returning with only one dream and a life of normalcy. That dream was fulfilled when he married Rae Wyland, who bore him three sons.
