In Dragons of Romania: Book 1, the ancient Teacher of Dragons, Lumea Veche, and his eager young student, Tanarul, embark from their native Romania on a routine field trip to the greater world of Dragons. Beneath the ice caps, the hibernating Sea Dragon, Leviathan, has grown to the length of Ireland. Lumea, Tanarul, and the League of Dragons realize that the Sea Giant's stirring would cause tidal waves that could destroy the worlds of both humans and dragons. They also face the truth that the Dragons cannot solve the problem by themselves. To save the planet, a Dragon/Human Alliance must be formed.
