The action takes place in a small Italian village. Sarah and Rocco meet for the first time, and fall deeply in love with each other, but their love is interrupted by Annabella, Sarah's mother.Annabella is furiously jealous her daughter loves Rocco more than she loves her own mother, and is disappointed her daughter is in love with the son of Don Giovanni, whom she hates. She forbids Sarah from ever seeing Rocco, but Sarah refuses. As her revenge, Annabella plans to kill Sarah with a sword, who later changes her mind, and decides to poison her with a warm soup. But everything doesn't go according to plan.The story is in Rhyme format, anapestic tetrameter.
