Jack Harper, a former drug addict living on the streets of Lincoln Nebraska, is no ordinary homeless man. Self-deprecating, humble, and searching for answers, Jack spends his days in complete anonymity and is content in his solitary existence until he meets Kate and her young son, Jacky. The child is instantly smitten with Jack which endears his young mother to the bedraggled man. As their friendship grows, it becomes clear to Jack that things are not always as they seem and life works in mysterious ways.
