Bag om Lyme Regis Murders
A capivating and thrilling - Easy Read, Who-Done-it.
Launching a new Female Private Investigator, who has more flaws than the killer....
A quiet seaside town is thrown into turmoil. Tammy Pierre, London based private investigator, accompanied by her sometime lover, Israeli art dealer and martial-arts coach, Dov Jordan, has just been brought close to tears by police photographs shown to her by an hysterical Eleanor Goldcrest, at the home of three innocent toddlers whose brutally murdered bodies have been found on the beach at Lyme Regis.
Wealthy financier, Eric Goldcrest, alarmed that his partner of three years, together with the local police has him nailed as guilty of murdering the children, now retains Tammy to prove his innocence and find the real culprit. But has his involvement in all this been misinterpreted?
In this investigation, with no apparent motive or forensic evidence, Tammy's skills will be tested to the limit. In a twist that muddies the waters, Eric Goldcrest, laments that he's simply never made it clear to Tammy about his position in the family and his relationship with the children, all of which have been assumed by the investigation.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I was a little sad to get to the end. It was fast paced in the right places and kept my engaged all the way through. I would really like to read more of this character and see how her story progresses.

"Andrew has created a complex character whose determination finally unveils the culprit. Our heroine is just begging to be made a TV star!"
"Coming face to face with a contract killer encouraged me to become a writer," says Andrew The Lyme Regis Murders, is a whodunnit/thriller.
"The inspiration began, when I was a young boy. I remember watching a contract killer being interviewed on BBC T V. How they got hold of him I shall never know. But there he was, quietly telling us all that after a murder, he enjoyed a sense of peace and tranquillity. Many years later, I found myself driving in an unfamiliar district, unable to find my way, I gave a lift to an old man who offered to show me the route in return for a ride. He was extremely chatty, boastfully telling me that he'd, 'Been away, for ten years,' and that he'd, 'Done it, Mate. Done it for the Krays.' That's right, a contract killer in my car".
"The characters in my novels are inspired by people around me. My first wife, whose father was an architect, was from Trinidad. I based the central character of The Lyme Regis Murders, a Private Eye named Tammy Pierre, who is of mixed heritage, on that background. Tammy's mother is French, Jewish. Once I had Tammy up and running, the rest of her background fell into place."
I felt this characterisation was done well and it was easy to like Tammy even if you didn't agree with her choices. I chose to read and review a free digital copy of The Lyme Regis Murders. The above review is my own unbiased opinion. RYAN Book Reviewer
