'Maybe it's just a thing' is my therapists favourite line. From me announcing I was getting divorced, to questioning how my sexuality and religion could possibly co-exist. Learning how to successfully and healthily 'human' in this world of inexplicable complexities ... "Maybe it's just a thing" she'd say. This is my story, the roller coaster of emotions, questions, insecurities and self-discoveries that come with being a client in therapy in the 21st Century. No dignity spared. All of the taboo subjects that I, and I'm sure other clients, found myself Googling and the embarrassing moments that made me want to disappear into the abyss. This is the heart-breaking, heart-warming and motivational discoveries that occurred for me, in the therapy room and beyond.
