Melissa Marcus is back home following a somewhat dangerous, yet exciting, journey into the past. She was transported back to Ancient Rome where she had a tumultuous affair with the infamous Mark Antony. Having fled the city in the wake of Julius Caesar's assassination, she returned to the present day and the Italian estate where the misty doorway to the past is located. A frightening discovery of an intruder in her home leads Melissa to realise that the past has been altered. In his desperate search to find Melissa, Mark Antony has changed his own destiny. As he is about to embark on a difficult military campaign, Melissa must find a way to lift his spirits before he marches his army to its destruction.
