Last book of our trilogy. Two missions from NASA of 2084 and 2085 eventually arrive in the same star system. This is an obscure K-2 orange dwarf name of Epsilon Indi, not their intended destination. Both jump ahead to the far future. On Nerus, planet closest to its star, Alice and her friends are given a tour of the colony called New America. As they have peaceful debates with aliens, an ancient enemy unleashes deadly nuclear Hell upon Nerus. Emperor Zarcon tries to help any refugees and provide peace to our galaxy. Alice lives to run Nerus, as the new Empress of Her System.
