In hoc libro, tres personae, Octavius, Caecilius et Minucius, disputant de religione Christiana et deorum Romanorum cultu. Octavius, qui est Christianus, defendit fidem suam contra argumenta Caecilii, qui est paganus. Minucius, qui est auditor, moderat disputationem inter eos. Dialogus continet multa argumenta et exempla, quae utile sunt ad cognoscendum Christianorum doctrinam et argumenta contra paganos.
