Photographer Olaf Schlote (born 1961) journeyed from Auschwitz to Majdanek to Stutthof and finally Israel, where he photographed 11 first-generation Holocaust survivors who began anew there. Memories gathers Schlote's portraits alongside stories from the survivors and photographs from his journey.
