One Day The Lord Is Going to Give Me A Husband - Charles Lee Robinson - Bog

Bag om One Day The Lord Is Going to Give Me A Husband

We grew up in a single parent household. It wasn't momma's choice, my daddy passed away when I only two years old. Momma did her best to raise me and my younger sister Angela. She taught us the role of a woman, based on God's instructions. We were in church every Sunday, and we attended bible study every Wednesday. As we got older, Momma would always tell us, "Girls, wait until the Lord send you your husband, if you go looking for him yourself, you're only going to get your heart broken." I heard her, but I didn't listen. Momma was never with another man, she was in deed, a virtuous woman. We were close and always looked out for one another. When I turned 18 years old, I caught the attention of a particular guy. I thought he was so fine, cute and he had the prettiest smile. Of course, I couldn't trust to share my feelings with Angela, she talked too much and would spill my tea with momma. Eventually, he and I had two boys. He was a deadbeat dad, and like momma said, he broke my heart. At some point, I took heed to mommas' advice, I decided to wait on the Lord to send me my husband, then I met Gary.
